I don't want anymore calls from this number -- please!

that number is empire today so if you got a new floor they are calling to tell you info.

Weird, I'm getting the same calls and now I see all these postings!!

Just started to get calls (2) as of nov.28th-29th . Had carpet installed Nov. 1st by Empire. They do not leave a message. Redialed back and got recording all international lines are busy . And hung up. Today I found this site except my id` # was +2017934620. But as i read everyone had Empire.

I called the 800 number listed at the bottom of this "blog" and they said they would take me off their calling list, but that it would take about 14 days.  It's Empire Today.

Yep. Definately from empire. I had Empire install flooring a month ago. I get calls from this201 number every night - at the same time!

Must be an empire number, I have the same situation as everyone else.

201-793-4620 is Empire Today definitely-these people will be relentlessly calling you to answer "some questions" like they are used car salesmen.
I think I will answer their questions they ask, my way. Evil, today.

I called Empire customer service at 800-588-2300 and requested that the phone calls from 201-793-4620 stop and they put me on a no call list

so call them, like their ad says, "Today", and ask to be put on this list. Empire, Tomorrow.

I have asked Empire Carpets repeatedly to stop soliciting my number and they keep saying, "okay I'll take your number off" but they aren't because the calls have continued.  Calls to my cell phone, my home, and my office.  They ripped off my contact information and refuse to stop harrassing me.  My advice?  ALWAYS have you numbers listed on the National Do Not Call Registry so you can report a violation and fine the company.  I think this is pretty poor business ethics given the number of times they call in 1 day.

Every night for the past couple of weeks, we keep getting a phone call from 1-201-793-4620 around 7:00 PM EDT.  The first couple of times we answered the phone but no one was there.  We are on the National Do Not Call List, but whoever this is keeps calling.  We have number ID on our TV, so, when the phone number shows up, we just ignore the call.

I too have just had Empire install flooring and am now getting these calls.  First one was Sat at 2:17PST.  I know people from NJ so the lack of msg surprised me which prompted me to look it up online.

Received call from unknown person.  I got to this website and am reading these phone calls are generated after installing flooring with Empire.  I will call Empire (local office) and stop the calls.  Also, will call BBB as well.

Yes, we also have had carpet installed recently from Empire. I feel the need to say that this is not the only problem we have had as it relates to that job either. However, I was beginning to fear that this call was a person my kid met online from New Jersey, so I am relieved.

I also had Empire carpeting installed a couple of weeks ago.  Not only do I get calls on my home phone, but my cell phone as well.

I too have been receiving calls approx. at 7:04pm from the number listed above. My Caller ID states its "New Jersey".  Once my answering machine picks up, the call gets disconnected.  Interesting enough, I also got new flooring installed by Empire Direct on July 21, 2008.  Thanks for posting this site.  I will contact Empire Direct and see if I can be removed off this calling list.

Ditto on the empire carpet connection.  Got carpet about three weeks ago getting 201-793-4620 twice a day now

got a call tonight while I was out the caller ID says New Jersey 201-793-4620 I hit redial when I got home and the person answered but then reluctantly said hello.  Call came in 7:41pm Pacific Time Since I know people in Jersey and the voice wasnt them I didnt say anything and hung up.  then looked the number online and got to this website.

I too had Empire install carpet.  Even earlier, I had an estimate through Empire Carpeting December of last year.  I have been receiving these calls since  January.  I contacted Empire as one of the reports suggested and was told that the calls are automated and that my information can be removed from Empire's system!  Yeah!

This number is for an Empire customer service survey. I was being called by them for about 2 weeks when I finally anwsered and someone named James with an Indian accent asked me a few questions about my experience with Empire. It would have been very easy  if I could have understood the guy.

Yes, I have received  these calls also, and they have indentified themselves as being a quality assurance team calling for Empire!

Yes I've had Empire Carpeting installed as well, and am getting these calls.  I think we need to all do something about this, what do you think?
How do you stop it?

I too have been geting calls from this number.  I had made an appointment with Empire about 1 year ago but had to cancel. This number started calling soon after that even though I didn't use them.  I had empire actualy install carpet a few weeks ago and viola here comes the number again.  All I can tell everyone is it eventually stops.

Same deal here too... Empire floor installed and now those damn calls, but they're calling at different time during the day and night.. very irritating!

Yes, saaaame thing going on with me. Thanks to the writers who listed the number to call. I called and spoke with a guy named "George" (ah ha)(yeah, a real Indian with that name) anyhow, he said that he would put my # on the DO NOT CALL list and it will take about 48 hrs to fall off. Sooooo I shall wait and see...wish me luck.... this is aggravating indeed....

Same deal - I gave this number to Empire Carpet and started receiving calls from that number two weeks after.

We also had carpet installed about 3 weeks ago from Empire & are now getting daily calls from this phone number.  I never answer the calls because I don't recognize the number - but found this site and it all makes sense now.  They never leave a voicemail.  VERY irritating & we have filed a complaint with both our local Empire Carpets and the Corporate Headquarters urging them not to use this India company any more - and to cease & desist all future calls.
