I got a call from this number and it was from vonage. A female representative was talking to me and she was telling that my number was selected randomly and I will be given a second line free just for a month to try and it was a one time opportunity

Not completely true.  I've never in my life dealt with Vonage, yet I keep getting calls from this number.

But 99% of everyone who gets this call says theres never a response also IF it were Vonage calling it wouldnt just come up as a Vonage cell user

also IF its a business or telemarketer then why is no one ever getting a response when they call? MAKE IT STOP!!

Ummm what good is just commenting about this annoying caller?....I want a solution to STOP it!

This is the FBI... they want to interview you regarding a crime they suspect you knew about.  Answer the call.  Don't run.  Open your front door when they knock.  Don't run.  They'll shoot you.  They mean business.

Continuous calls from this number, never leave messages. Picked up first time.  Delay on caller side and just heard background noise, so knew it was solicitation. Please make them STOP.

Have been receiving calls from 2018818203.  When I called back, the automated response idnetifies it's from Vonage.

Yes! getting calls daily. No message left. Blind calls and no message. When check message, it's blind. Today I received call again I picked up the call? One live person talk to me. She said she want to talk to Owner of the Vonage line? I said it's me.....She said....I am from Vonage. Trying to check everything is OK. I said Yes! I said we check on-line often by logging in....Vonage....everything is OK.

I said why you are calling.....then she hang up. So, I have no idea this # belongs to Vonage? Strange call?

Call is from Vonage. Asked them to remove my number from there call list. My number is unlisted and asked how the got it and was told it is computer generated.

I got a call from 201-881-8203 on my iPad Texting app. I texted back and no answer

Someone called from this number asking for my 4 year old - very strange very very strange!

The caller was foreign and when my husband identified himself as the father the caller said he would call back and hung up.

REPORT THEM TO THE:
Federal Trade Commission & Utility Commission after a few 50,000. fines they'll stop,,but, you have to file a complaint!

It's Vonage calling to tell me that vonage phone service is now available in my area. I know that a lot of services haven't been available in my area so it does seem legit but still i can't be certain.

I keep on getting calls from this number... it gets annoying

I have an Atlanta (area code 404) work number, and I get calls from this number every day at the same time for a week, then not again for a few weeks.  No caller ID, but that may be a limitation of my company's phone system.

I get calls from this number everyday. I never answered so i never new who it was until now. I dont even no how they got my number, this is my ipod touch!!!! I get calls everyday.

keep getting calls and no answer and Vonage is displayed-i have never had their service-they are now reported to the attorney general and will be fined.

I have been receiving phone calls from this number 201 881-8203 for that last few weeks. Started out not answering. And letting it go to the answering machine. no message. But who ever it is kept calling so i answer. No response on the other end only heavy breathing and sounds like a three ring cirus in the back ground. This S***  needs to stop...

Got a call from them at 430pm today, did not answer, google voice number as well.
If you are using GV though simply look up the number on the GV web page, check the check box and under "more" select "Block Caller".

Presto they will now receive a out of service message, problem solved. You can track their dedication by seeing how many times they turn up in the spam section. Some other call blocking tips:

If you have a cellphone that is a droid, there is a great little app called CallFilter. If it is a phone that cannot use apps, check out YouMail website, a little clunky, but works. Best of all you can use custom messages besides the common out of service ones, if you wanna stick it to them. lol

having the same experience from this Vonage #, several calls a day ,  no message  ever, yet have never had their service...

wow, this was annoying.... I was getting a call every day from this number, and I finally picked up the phone today. It turns out it's a telemarketer for Vonage to sign up for their service.
What disturbs me the most is that the ONLY phone number they were calling was my google voice number which is unlisted and I only use to call my sister in FL. How did they get this number? is google selling our information to telemarketers? I have never ever signed up for vonage services.

When I asked the lady she didn't tell me and instead said that my number would be placed in the do not call back list, but it can take up to 30 days for them to take me off.

I keep getting calls from this number and noone leaves a message. Also, when I dial this number, it does not work. I do not know anybody who has this number and request this be blocked. Please advice!

Telemarketers use a computer to dial several numbers at one time and they take the first person to pick up and leave the rest hanging. They use "random" numbers (although quite calculated) and will continue until they make contact with you. IF you answer quickly you might get a real live human then tell them to remove you from their calling list. BTW, I just got a # from TWC which I don't have a phone connected to and this number shows up on my television screen 2 to 4 times a day. For a land line you can use the do not call registry but that can take 6 months. Telemarketers are not supposed to call cell phones unless you State has an exemption... Missouri has this exemption, which ANOTHER good reason not to live in MO. Best case is answer right away and never give them information just tell them to go away... if they don't threaten them with the feds.
