I get these calls almost daily and I never answer. We DO use Medco so I am not sure of the validity of the calls, but today I pressed 'talk' to see if I could actually talk to a real person. After about 20 seconds of the robo trying to connect me, it hung up. So since the federal DoNotCall does not seem to work, I am using all of the technology available to combat this caller (and others). My Panasonic phone system has a built-in caller block that you can block the number with only a few keystrokes. That is the best that any of us can do since the government and phone companies are unwilling to help John and Jane Doe in this blatant form of phone and privacy abuse.

I have received multiple calls from this number, and when I call back I get a busy signal EVERY time!

That happens to be the case with me they have been calling me ever since cvs pharmacy has been calling me telling me my prescription is ready for pickup.
Scott 2012-09-11 20:11:30 Unknown
This is medco. They always start calling me about the time my prescription is about to become depleted to renew.

Got two calls from this number at it is late at night. They say they part of Medco and started asking for personal info. Did not give them any of it. It'd fraudulent.

I keep getting calls from this number. My phone ID says New Jersey. I finally called and spoke to someone. I asked a lot of questions to make sure this really was Medco. Apparently they were calling to tell me some prescriptions were about to be filled. I told them to quit calling me and send me email instead. What an annoying business practice to call and call and not leave a message.

I have received numerous calls from this number. Since there is no caller ID information available, I have not answered the calls.
tippes 2012-08-28 19:26:47 Unknown
it is from medco, medco has a mail in prescription service where you can get prescriptions for 90 days at a time. they never leave messages.
L Chekov 2012-08-21 12:43:19 Unknown
I am fortunate to also have prescription coverage under another plan which is more economical then Medco. So when I get continuing calls from Medco about why I'm not filling my prescriptions through Medco you all appear to be confused and dumbfounded.

I've been receiving non-stop calls from this number. Calls come in 2-3 times a day/night. No one responds when I answer and they never leave a message.
Well I called this number back this morning and, believe it or not, a young lady answered stating the company was "Medco". Medco is the mail in pharmacy used by many insurance companies. She told me that this number is an automatic dialer, no real person is the line. They are calling to let their customers know that they are paying more for their prescriptions at their local pharmacies, etc.
I told her that many people have filed complaints on this number and have even blocked it, as I did myself. I told her I would not unblock the number. Everytime Medco has called me they use an 800 number and leave a message, automated or not.

Calls constantly - never leaves message - nothing on caller ID. I use Medco, but they always leave a message & this is not their number.
atl 2012-08-03 22:51:40 Event Reminder
This is a number for Medco and they are not telemarketers- they do call often and do not leave voicemails. It's a general call to see if you questions about your prescriptions and/or reminders about refilling your 3 month prescriptions if you do not have autofill. The only personal information they asked was my prescription account number and to verify my birthdate.

The number appears to be regstered to a Paul R. Smith at 53 Cully Ln. Wyckoff, NJ.
It appears to be in the middle of an older residential neighborhood. But after some further searching, Paul R. Smith, doesn't appear to exist!
I occasionally get letters, e-mails, and phone calls from MEDCO from a different Number!
This number calls 3 times a day every day, but never leaves a message, or says anything when I answer.
I am not a happy customer as it is with Medco, they are already pushy and bullying me. This crap just makes it worse!
Dan 2012-08-03 18:16:52 Unknown
This number calls at least 3 times a day, never leaves a message, Caller ID says Wyckoff, NJ.
The few times I have answered no ones been there.
Some people have mentioned Medco, I have gotten an occasional call from Medco, with a different number and a real message.

I called the number. These people just call to see if you want to refill. They "represent" MEDCO and they wanted my age and address, which I gave them - anyone can get that info off of the Internet anyway. They then told me what my prescriptions are, so I guess they really are a telemarketing vendor for MEDCO. I declined the refill at this time.

Keeps on calling no one on the line

Totally legit call. The caller said he was from medco and started asking questions. I got nervous about giving personal information and said I needed to verify his identify first. He said that I should call the toll free number on the back of my prescription card. I did. They said the call was legitimate
I'm glad they called. They were warning me that my prescription plan would start charging a higher rate on a medication if I chose to get it at my local pharmacy, but I could get the 90 day supply from medco cheaper. This is exactly true and the call ended up saving me money.
If you are ever nervous about these calls, just tell them you'd rather look at the number on the back of your card and call them. (This goes for credit cards, as well as health insurance.)

on no call list - call unsolicited.
Meduser 2012-07-31 22:11:07 Unknown
I use Medco. Why don't they just switch everything to mail order if that saves time and money. Who talks to pharmacist anyway. Just leave a message wHen you call. Wtf. How hard is that.

I am from Medco and this is a REAL number. If you dweebs want your health benefit, the DEA *requires* us to verify your phone number, and yes, sometimes your social security number. If you don't like it, go somewhere else for your drugs. What other questions do you have?
Gary W 2012-07-14 04:20:11 Unknown
Why do they call at the most inopportune times, like when I'm asleep, lol. I've never answer their calls nor shall I. If I don't recognize the number then I don't answer it. I don't answer the phone to people I know and the # 201 891 5075 is on the very very bottom rung of who I answer my phone to. I got my phone for my convenience and no one else.
Ryan 2012-07-08 17:30:57 Unknown
They have called over and over. I finally picked up a few mins ago. The lady asked if she could ask me a few questions and went on about how medco takes your personal information serious. They stated my address number and then asked for me to confirm the street, city, state and zip code. After that question she said 'or you can confirm the date and year of your birthday, we show its in June'..... I hung up. There is nothing legit about those questions.. Scam!

I received a call from 201-891-5075 twice today and there was no one on the other end. I recognize the area code and I believe this could be the same number.
ladybug 2012-06-19 00:14:11 Unknown
continues to call 3 to 4 times a day, but will not say anything.

I'm getting these calls too. Why is it that everyone who's posted a comment has a MedCo account? Seems like MedCo needs to get their act together - or they'll be the next government-sponsored institution that gets shut down. I hate that I can't get my meds through my LOCAL pharmacy without getting a stair-step price increase to my on-going meds. Flipping ridiculous!
