Alexander & Stefano are posing as an arbitration team also calling from Texas Alabama New Jersey & New York. The Hamm's Beer Bear don't take no fake calls like 713-929-3502!

I think I can shed some light on this. I too got a message from this number, a voicemail from some a Joseph Seesawski or Seashellski or something to that effect, intended for someone with an unsayable Hawaiian-type name, about a "1099 dash C tax form placed with the IRS".

OK, first of all, this isn't my first rodeo, if you know what I mean, and I also know about all the different 1099 forms. The most common 1099 (see list at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Form_1099#1099_series) is for independent contractors reporting nonemployee income. This is probably NOT what Mr. She-sells-skis was alluding to.

The 1099-C is "Cancellation of Debt". It's simple:  someone decides to forgive your debt completely to write it off as a loss and reduce tax liability. Well? the IRS wants its cut, because the IRS considers the cancelled debt as "income", and income must be taxed. Other forms must be submitted. Paperwork must be done. So, how it works is this:  the forgiver sends a form to the IRS and to the forgivee. If the forgivee cannot be located, then I don't know. Which is why these annoying ****s are calling my phone looking for someone else.

Glad I found this website. Since when can a company file a 1099 form on a supposed past debt?  Especially when its for 423.00.  I wonder how much these people get paid to actually sit around and come up with these ridiculous claims.

Some guy named Joseph left a message to call back 866-815-8647. he says a 1099 state form has been placed i my name. Obviously a scam. Probably a bill collector

It's obviously a SCAM..  They also called me and I called them back.  When I told the rep that I refuse to give personal info he said you are getting sued and hung up on me...

Got a message from them today stating they needed to speak with me regarding my 1099 form that was filed. Shouldn't the IRS contact me about that info? I mean come on?!?! Seriously? Just stated his name and didn't say where he was calling from.

Received a call from 2019847049 today at 6:20pm. No message was left. CID said Meineke Car in Bayonne, NJ. I don't have any business associated with this place. I received the call after normal business hours. I'll call them tomorrow to inform them and see where that leads.
