Tell them you run a MAC...they'll tell you they can work on those too.  I've also told them that I'm a luddite and don't own a computer...they don't listen...they're pricks.

Got a call from the same Middle Eastern folks that claim to be from Windows Tech Support, telling me my computer is emitting a virus every time I go online.  I listened to him, claiming that I was doing what he told me to, and finally asked him how many camels he's had sex with.  This lead to a 5 minute discussion as to whether or not he's working for the Taliban, and how his wife sleeps with Mohammed and Achmed on a daily basis.

He finally hung up on me.  

This isn't the first encounter I've had with these idiots.  I've involved the local police, as well as the FBI in the past, but there's nothing they can really do.  Someone buys phones here in the states, then ships them overseas to a boiler-room type of outfit that tries to get people to download a program that actually locks you out of your computer while they data mine it, then charge you money to unlock it for you.

Insisted that I HAD to let him check my computer. When I told him that I didn't have a computer (I do), he said I had to have a laptop or something. Again, I said I didn't have a computer, he got rude and hung up. I am on the do not call list.

They have called three times in the last half hour alone.  I don't even bother with my home phone anymore.  

I received the phone call yesterday and let them control my computer , they said they were from Microsoft.
They messed up my computer when I told the that I would not Pay them $200.00. I am no longer able to use Internet Explorer
because of the damage to my computer. They said they were from Microsoft. but my sister inlaw  called me and confirmed that it was a scam, for she got the same call.I now have to go shopping for a new computer. They spoke with a middle east  accent.

The same thing just happened to me. I hung up on him. If he was really with Microsoft , I would have hung up. I only speak English.

They have called several times regarding the computer issue. Then yesterday a man called and said the F word in regards to wanting  to F me.  He stayed on the phone while I answered the door and when I came back he repeated the same derogatory remarks till I pretended to be a man and they hung up.

They're foreign scammers - of course they don't care what you say to them.  There's not much that our Government can do to them, if anything.  Best thing to do is block the number(s) they call from (your phone may have a number block feature), assign a "no ring" tone so you don't hear the call, or buy a call blocker (you can get a good one for $60 or less).  If their calls still get through, just don't answer them.

The people that are working on this have not solved this issue because I received two calls from the 202-156-6666 number  about 50 minutes ago.  The man with the foreign accent called me twice about my computer.  I finally told him I was going to call the police. He never did respond and after about 15 seconds of silence, I hung up the phone.

I get calls on the daily from this number. I just received another where I got a little harsh saying "if you call one more time I'm going to report you." The guy on the phone flipped on me saying: "what are you gonna do! Nothing! I'm gonna f*ck you. I'm gonna f*ck you!" I'm not even joking.

I usually play along and waist their time.  One time I kept the fool on the phone for about 30 minutes,  pretended my computer crashed when I went to their web site (which I didn't out of the command prompt window)  And accused them of causing it.  Actually had the guy trying to fix my router.

Another time I accused them of messing up all the porn sites I visit ( which  I don't ).  Was asking him which sites he likes and trying to get him to admit he looks at porn,  was to funny,

If your bored just waist their time and don't do anything they ask that might cause a problem.  Looking at the event logs is fine and all machines clock up some or a bunch.  I had 7000 events.

I keep getting calles 15 minutes apart from this number saying they are Microsoft .

I have received these calls for months now they either call with 202-156-6666 or unknown caller.  They say they are from windows and I have a problem with my computer. I

This number kept calling every hour today.  Shows up as District of Columbia and thought it was probably a political poll.  I finally picked up on their fifth or sixth try and asked who was calling.  A man with a foreign accent said my Windows computer was sending out error messages which were very dangerous to my pc.  I immediately hung up, looked up the number on Google and found many scams from this and other numbers with the same area code.  Our number is unlisted, on the do-not-call list and still we get this nonsense.  My call blocking list is full, and anyway, as soon as one number is blocked, these idiots start using another number.  Best not to answer at all if a number is not recognized or identifiable.

Same thing (202)156-6666. Unavailable is the ID. Even if we don't speak into phone, a recording says "good-bye".  Nuisance. My internet provider bundles my services so I tried to block the phone #, but it wasn't possible for some reason. Arrghh.

Have gotten two calls (at least) from this number. When I answer the phone is i silent for about 10 seconds and then a recorded voice says "good-bye." Very annoying.

Recieved 6 calls in 4 hours!  If this isn't harassment,  I don't know what is!  

Six calls today when not home. Last time I was there and picked up and heard a recorded female voice say "good-bye." Guess they are moving West.  Thanks for this site -won't pick up ever again.

I have received dozens of phone calls from "Microsoft Technical Company" wanting to  warn me about computer virus. I have told them to leave me alone and said I would record the phone call and turn it over to the authorities as I am on a do not call list. Doesn't phase them a bit. They talk over me and have even called back when I hung up on them.

202-156-1666 has been calling continuously for the last few days.  Even until 8-9p.m at night starting in the morning. Never leaves a message .

Received a call from 202-156-6666 "Dist of Columbia" today stating that they were from Microsoft and my computer was downloading stuff that would make my computer slower and eventually making it crash. The man I spoke with had a heavy India accent. When I asked what he was selling, he said he wasn't selling anything and was only trying to assist me in fixing the problem because my personal information could eventually be compromised by hackers. When I told him that I thought the call was a little suspicious, he stated that he had my comuter ID number to verify that he was from Microsoft. I told him that I would look into any problems with my computer myself because I didn't feel safe dealing with him over the phone. I asked him for his phone number and he gave a different number than the one that was on the Caller ID...801-610-6855

I have received multiple phone calls from this number daily and I'm getting really annoyed! They always come at the worst time! My girlfriend is extremely pregnant and moody and is really getting tired of being woken up by the phone. We haven't given our home phone out to ANYONE but each other so this is obviously a scam and I'm not sure how they're getting it. The only time someone actually responded to me they sounded Indian and were laughing because I was upset about the number of calls I've received from them. Hopefully it stops soon

I get calls every week from (202) 156-6666.  I just got one a little while ago (Memorial Day) from this same scammer.  I don't answer it any ore, since I know who it is.  It's always somebody with a foreign accent telling me I have a problem with my computer.  Boy did they get a wrong number.  I am a computer engineer.  I toyed with the guy one time, but now I don't even bother.  I have reported this number to the "Do Not Call" list, but I keep hearing from them.

Got a call from this number 202-156-6666 Caller claims he was from MSN and our computer was downloading things rthat were harmful to the hard drive. My computer seems to be working fine. I believe this was a pfishing call to defraud us.

i asked alot of questions about how they got my number and says i did a staisfaction survey from windows but when i kept asking how they got my number he was unble to answer. had me go to run and had me put in EVENTVWR i never did it but did write it down hopefully the info will help others i told the india guy that i dont trust this and will check with my IT people and he hung up.Be carefull seems to be a easy way to put in a virus
