I got the same call many times but he claimed to be an officer of the IRS. Being a retired officer, I gave him a piece of my mind. This is the number he called me from 202 241-6854, this is a magic jack number so I think we owe it to Magic Jack to know what is going on.

This happened once before from another number. When he called today, I just picked up and didn't say anything for a minute, then said "don't call here again" because I get a lot of telemarketing calls. Then, he called again and didn't leave a message. When I called back to tell him again not to call me, the voice mail said it was such and such from DEA Investigations. These people are pretty good at scaring you. Last time they really scared us but didn't ask for money, which surprised me. That made it seem more legitimate. They said there would be agents at our door with a search warrant and a warrant for my arrest in 10 minutes, and that we should get a lawyer. But I did call the DEA and they said that it was a scam, and to ignore the calls. Among other things, they said that if the DEA were planning to search our place, they wouldn't warn us ahead of time :-) I also called the local police and found out that there were no warrants in my name.
I hate these people.

Got a call from this number, went to vm.. Lengthy message with constant use of my last name. Dea.. Blah blah. I've been called once before (by a different number) and it scared me but the private investigator side of me did some research. Big extortion scam! I recommend playing along and getting an address "to mail a check" and then leaving that address on the DEA extortion line. If these degenerates spent half the time working as they do scamming they'd be financially set!

Same same..... contacted my daughter saying he was with the DEA (Detective HARRAH). What a knob. Informed her that for $1600 they would drop all charges. When I asked for clarification, he stammered and said to "get a lawyer". Sound advice from someone who will likely need one in the near future.

A guy called me saying I had an arrest Warrant for ordering medicine online and that was illegal. He wanted me to take $1853 to a place he would tell me later as a fine to stop the arrest. I should not tell anybody. I called my husband anyways and I did not answer the two calls I received after that

No worries I sure did call and report it. In fact this so called Special Agent Steven Novak called me back and threatened me because I called his bluff and then he hung up on me. I was very rude to him and it felt great! I hope they catch that b*****d!

Do call the number on the DEA website and report this.

I have gotten two calls from a man who says he is a Special Agent named Steven Novak from the DEA and that I must call him immediately. Called back after reading the scams I read on another site. He was apparently in a meeting. If he calls back he has something coming is all I have to say. He used the # 202-239-8343 at ext. 1131
Be warned it is a scam!!!
