GOt the same message

I got a call from this number as well. Caller was very threatening and then hanged up the phone call.
Someone should do something about this. Caller is taking advantage of general public. Please help.

Left nothing on the answering machine.

Got this call 3/10/14 for my wife. Left a voicemail. You have to wonder, how did they get your name, address, number and e-mail address. The call came in on an internet phone we have and it is in my wife's name. This could be how they got this information. Did other people get the call on an internet phone?

Had this number on my caller id when I called back it simply disconnected the call. 20 minutes later I get a call from this number again saying my roommate had committed tax fraud and had a warrant out for his arrest. If he didn't pay he would be deported back to his home country.
The guy had our home address which can be found in the phonebook/ white pages. He asked for my roomates cell number and when I wouldn't give it to him he became angry..  I told him he was full of sh*t and he started stuttering then hung up.

Obvious scam.. these people should be put in jail.

I received a few phone calls starting at 6:07 am every morning this week from 202-241-0262.  When I finally answered the phone, I was told there would be an arrest warrant issued within the next 35 minutes for money laundering from 2008-2012. They said my passport has been revoked, my property seized, my bank account seized and my wages garnished.  They knew my first and last name.  They never asked for any money or anything, they ended up just hanging up on me.  Only after they told me my call was being recorded and would be used against me.  I was told I was going to be deported back to my country (I am a born American , as well as my parents).  I am changing my phone number :(

Got same email and phone call.....legal notice from advance cash saying I was going to be arrested if I didn't pay. I have reported this to the police and FBI  they want you to go get a green dot money pack and pay immediately or face arrest warrant.  I got similar phone calls from a 315 number. They even posed as state police!! They have been harassing me for over a week. They even called my work! I hope they catch who ever is doing this because it is ridiculous!  I have reported both phone numbers to the police, FBI and the green dot money pack customer service line.

Got an email and several phone calls from this person with Indian accent I think...seemed legit at first until they want you to go get a green dot money pack from a pharmacy or Walmart and pay them immediately or an arrest Warrant will be issued. Please don't talk to this person because it is a complete scam and I was actually foolish enough to get scammed for 200 dollars!  I feel like the biggest idiot now. Please don't fall for this. I believed it and fell for it and got scared into actually paying this scam!

I received a voicemail from this number: 202 - 241 - 0262 today (Wednesday 2/19). It was the same thing - heavily accented voice claiming to be from the IRS and that I was under some legal threat and must immediately call that phone number.  I knew it was a scam immediately.  I've actually dealt with the IRS and do their initial notification through paper mail for starters.

This is a scam, beware all, do not send money.

I received a call today 2/14/14 at 5:13 pm, saying that I over stated my taxes and that I will deported and they will seize my bank account, or I will go to jail. I will have to pay $16,000.00 in order to stay in the country. So, I looked up the Number and there goes a big scam. Be careful with these  scammers. They sound Indian on the phone.

Now got another call claiming to be from the IRS re: tax fraud, but this time, gave the number to call back as: 202-239-7019 --  told me also to have a blessed day.  WTF.

got this similar messageabout 'criminal investigation" -- called IRS reporting this -- they are reporting to the department who investigates these scams. I recommend calling the IRS until you get a person and report this scam.

I got the same exact email! The idiot doesn't know that the FDCPA is there to protect debtors, not collectors! My email said I was being sued and arrested for an account with Advance Cash USA..no such thing, a scam. I got a phone message which said if I don't call back, he feels sorry for me for what is about to happen to me. I got to work and someone said an Indian speaking man called for me (mispronounced my name) and they said I wasn't there. Geeze, my work???
I will pursue this and hopefully help with getting them caught.

I've received many phone messages (on 1/29, 1/30, 1/31) from a fake IRS agent with a heavy Indian accent speaking about an urgent criminal matter and to call them immediately at 202-241-0262. I?ve looked up the number on the internet and found it to be part of a phishing phone scam.

we have been receiving calls from this number from sometime, yesterday person named Spencer left me a message that there is un bailable warrant against me for some tax fraud. called IRS and office of consumer protection and was told its a fraudulant.

Received a call this morning around 10:30 am on my cell voice mail. The person threatened me with a legal action.  Then I received an email;

When I called back there was a recording claiming to be IRS with a message to leave a detailed message. Then this moron called me again, i told him to stop calling and that I was reporting him, he then made kissing noises and said I love you over and over until I hung up.

It is a scam i called the number & Provoked the guy & he started CURSING.. IRS never ever do that...what an idiot
