I received a call from 202-241-1305 (Washington DC on the caller ID) on March 28 from a guy with a thick Indian accent.  He claimed my husband was being investigated by the IRS for failure to file form 941 (for employers to fill out quarterly taxes) and problems with 1040.  He stated that the IRS has referred the case to the Department of Homeland Security.  He asked if we received the letter they had sent.  I knew this was a fake call from the IRS but decided to play along for the fun of it.  He thought I was ready to do whatever it took to fix the issue and which point my husband took the phone and cursed him out.  The caller was taken aback and hung up.

The caller failed to realized that he called the residence of someone who works in the legal field (me) and that there is no connection between IRS and DHS for tax collection issues.  I had such a laugh.  I don't think he will be calling back again.

My husband received a call from this number today at 11.51 am.  They asked for Paul.  I said he wasn't in.  They asked who I was.  I said, "his wife".  He said, Cherrie?  I said no she had passed away.  Cherrie was married to my brother in law who now lives with us..  Anyway, the caller informed me that there was an arrest warrant out for my husband and that he would be in handcuffs with in the hours.  I hung up.  I know this is a scam....

Tell him that you hate coward thugs that hide behind a magicJack number in a foreign country to make terroristic threats to Americans.  Tell him the magicJack company has records of his calls and can tell exactly where he is, and that you are reporting him to the Treasury Department.

Just received call from "Mike" - 202 241 3957 or 202 241 3950 (he gave both numbers).  Claimed same IRS scam and told me that I had 1 hour to pay a penalty or else they will handcuff me and take me to jail and that the charges against me are true -- would result in 3 years in prison and $50,000.  The penalty was $1847 and he would send someone to my house to collect it.  I asked for his government id (#15938) and asked him to supply documents in advance to someone showing up at my door.  He hung up on me.

Wife got a call from 202-241-1305 (Said Washington, DC on caller ID) saying that the house was under watch and I had a warrant out for my arrest. Wife hung up after some choice words, but they called right back asking if she was crazy? Wife responded with BAT S*** CRAZY! Then hung up again. Caller had heavy foreign accent.

Got a similar call from a Gary Jones (yea, nice try with a foreign accent!) claiming to be from the Crime Investigator Division, wouldn't say division of what, but the idiot gave a badge ID, total losers! Go get a real job like everyone else, what a bunch of a**les! Just a waste of everyone's time. I reported it to the police, they know about these guys, and said it is a total scam! Number on caller ID was 202-241-1305

Yes, he called me and I knew it there is something not right! He called at 8:00 PM. He tried to convince me that I did something illegal and I will be arrested if I didn't answer his questions and clear my case. Anyways, that Indian guy started with asking me if I send any money overseas. I told him that I will not answer any question on the phone and don't call me again. He tried to threaten me....I hung up on his face!

They called many times and never left a message until today.  The b*****d had a heavy accent.  I couldn't quite understand the message; however, I could tell that he was reading a script.  He left this number which also displayed on my caller ID.  He claimed to be a Crime Investigator.  I didn't get that it was from IRS.  If according to others it is from IRS, then I know for fact that it's completely bogus.  IRS sends letters, NOT phone calls.  B*****ds!!

They called my sister claiming to be investigators from the irs, heavy indian accent, would not provide any proof, was vague, threatened with an arrest, i looked up irs scams and Google the number listed above, also they called on a weekend, government facilities are not open on weekends, this is bogus, tell them you will sue them for harassment if they continue to call

IRS SCAM. They claim to be IRS Investigators and they will try to make you believe that you have done something illegal. DO NOT FALL FOR IT! They sound legitimate but do not fall for this. Either hang up, or let them know you are aware they are a scam.
