Just received a call from this number with Indian accent ...Robert was his name

It is a scam operated out of India. With a very heavy Indian accent and said he put a warranty out for my arrest. Now folks the key word here is WARRANTY!! LOLMF , these are definitely upset jobless India Recruiters.

Boy does "officer JohnSmith" get around. Got a phone message from him saying that he was from the IRS with a heavy Indian accent, fast talking. If your going to make up a name........BE ORIGINAL!,,,,,,,,,!!!

I received a message from Officer Robert Turner saying some federal charges were being filed against me. I called back and received a message saying: Thank you for call The IRS

received a call form officer Jason McDonald saying he was a investigator with Fed IRS and that I had a warrant out form my arrest because I hadn't responded to two letters.  I told him I never got any letters and he kept coming in and out and offered to fix the errors on past IRS filings.  I took down his info and the number was 202 241 9018.  A total scam

IRS scam. The guy has left me 3 messages threatening to arrest me.

Hahaha, same a..hole, same number with Indian accent, left a message on my answering machine!!! These retards don't even bother change their story: from IRS, three federal charges,.....!!!

I received call from same number, stating call from IRS, for tax fraud, we have warrant against us. I ask them to send the paperwork and told them I will call local sheriff to get details. First one person took the phone and then trf to "John Smith" (i guess they should all be "John Doe") officer to give me details of charges when asked couldn't give any good details. So asked them to call back. Waiting for their call to give them back all the s***. Seriously it's very bad for people who go through this calls and are victimized, I hope these callers face the consequences.

My wife received the call from same number and someone name Jason McDonald from IRS is looking for me. I am so glad to find this thread otherwise I would have called him back. Thank you all.

I got the call from Officer Allen from 202-241-9018 saying an arrest warrant has been issued under my name. So I went ahead and called them back knowing they are frauds. I wanted to get a little more info on them so I could report them to the IRS. So anyways, a guy picked up the call and he sounded like Hispanic. He answered the phone saying "Internal Revenue Service, how may I help you." He refused to give me his name and constantly asked for my name and my phone number which I refused to give him. So he wouldn't transfer me to the so called "Officer Allen," he wouldn't give me the address of his location, and he couldn't answer me why I didn't get a copy of the warrant/subpoena or never received a bill from IRS and how come I haven't been arrested yet. So anyways, the argument with him wasn't going anywhere and I hung up the phone and called 1.800.366.4484 from http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-Warns-of-Pervasive-Telephone-Scam and left a detailed message for the Treasury Inspector General's office. Somebody needs to put an end to these nonsense calls and put the scammers behind bars for impersonating IRS employees.

I got a phone call today from a very RUDE guy named "Jason McCarthur" from the "IRS" stating that I had an issue with my 2011/2012 taxes and that the police had already been contacted. I asked them if this was true, how come I hadn't received any letters from the IRS. He said they had sent plenty of letters and that it was all documented at the post office. I called him out for being extremely rude and unprofessional, and told him that if he was indeed legitimate to feel free to send me a CERTIFIED letter, and then hung up on him. What a jerk. What really bothers me is that he knew my full name and phone number. Lord knows how many people he's scammed.

DON'T RESPOND TO THESE LOSERS. ITS A TOTAL SCAM/FRAUD!!!!!!! BE CAUTIOUS AND TELL OTHERS THAT THESE SCUM BAGS ARE NOT LEGITS!!!!!

forgot to mention that they started by authoritatively questioning why I didn't respond to the mail they (the "IRS") sent me in February.  I guess they know that the real IRS warned us that they contact us only by mail and this is the crooks attempt to be more convincing.

Same number 202-241-9018 and same approach as others reported (3 fed charges against me, IRS error reporting for 2 years, I'll be arrested within 30 minutes, Indian accent, ...). After initial shock I figured out they are scam and went along to see what they demand. Money via Green Dot Moneypak and want you to purchase it first then they give you follow up instructions. They gave me the address of 1111 Constitution Avenue, NW, unit 5480,  Washington DC. which I later found out it is the IRS address. Used officers names that mentioned by other reporters on this side. They were so pushy in wanting to get the money right away and ended up calling my number over 17 times within short period of time. Finally blocked their number on my phone. I found out they got my information from the recorder-assessor office where I pay my property taxes (why would such sensitive information be available for the public and crooks like these? So dangerous! I wish I know a way to keep it private but it is classified as public records - tsk). I reported them to  the TIGTA and the Federal Trade Commission as indicated in this informative press release http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/press/press_tigta-2014-03.htm  but no indication that any thing will be done about it. I also called the local police which expressed concerns and seemed to act on it (hopefully). I don't believe that such crime, which must be easy to catch and punish, has been surviving with same number and story for such a long time.

These guys (202-241-9018) with heavy Indian accent are calling people in the guise of IRS officials.  They even threaten people that the cops will be arresting since an arrest warranty is issued for delinquent IRS payments.  They have message claiming that they are IRS and asking us to leave a message.  They found our address and SS# and threatening us over phone.  Kindly take immediate action to find these perpetrators and take legal action.  The action has to be taken immediately, lest several innocent people will be unnecessarily bothered.

These same guys called me today and conveyed that the police will be arresting me.  It was such a weird call, stating that they are calling from IRS (at 7.00 pm EST??).  He said that he is the secretary (lol!).  I screamed at him and demanded his ID, since I did not make any money and I don't owe anything to IRS last year.  Yes, their heavy accent is Indian, and they even left the message in their phone (202-8411-9018) as IRS.     Someone has to nab them and put them behind bars or deport them to India.  

I just received a call today,  the person had a strong Asian accent - could barely speak English and claimed to be a federal agent. I could hear that he was in a call center because I could hear other phone calls. The caller wanted me to identify myself which I refused to do, he got angry and threatened that he would send someone to my home. I'm glad to know it was a scam.

I got a voice mail from this number and same thing - 3 federal against my name and identity and asked to return the call.  I freaked out a bit but immediately found this site and comments.  

I called the local police and they just said yes this is a scam and asked not to answer the call.

Got a call from Griffin Thomas saying he is from the IRS. African American accent. Very authoritative sounding. I hung up.

Just got a call from this number claiming to be the IRS with and some legal case charges brought against me which is total garbage.  He told me his name was (something) MacDondald, but he clearly had a heavy Indian accenet.  I had a hard time understanding him and the connection was bad.  I challenged him and told him I didn't believe him and he said he was dropping the call and hung up on me.  

I also got a call from this number.  Please note:

   1.  No need to be scared
   2.  These are definitely scams
   3.  DO NOT SEND MONEY AND DO NOT DIVULGE PERSONAL INFORMATION
   4.  These people MAY know : Last for digits of your social security number
                                                   Your spouses name
   5.  REPORT THE SCAM TO FTC. URL is www.ftc.gov

FYI, the "Officer" Ha Ha Ha told me he will issue an arrest warrant for my arrest and I told him please go ahead.  I laughed a lot after that.

Also I do not think the accent is "Indian" but is "Foreign" to US.

Today (04/24/2014 @ 1:30 PST) I received call from same number, they said they have warrant against me and going to arrest in 30mins if I do not have $1800.. They transferred call to 3-4 people, all threatened to arrest me, jail me if I do not pay and close the case over phone..
When I said I am not going to pay over phone, they became more and more aggressive. Anyway, I did not pay anything but scared crap out of me..

Called April 23, 2014, about noon and left a voicemail. It's the same type-call; pretending to be calling from IRS and identified himself as a Mr. Mathur (with Indian accent). Said three affidavits have been filed against my identity and unless I call back federal charges will be filed against me.

The calls are coming from outside the United Sates and the numbers are spoofed (faked).  It would be almost impossible to stop the calls unless all calls from India & VoIP were stopped.
