I got a call from 202-292-1558, and per prior post called 202-686-9097; young woman answered "Computer Geeks."  I asked if they were doing a promotion, after a moment's hesitation but without any further discussion, she said she would remove my number if I wanted.

Answered call and got nothing but silence.  The tactic they use appears to be to leave an advertisement for Computer Geeks on your answering machine, but not to talk to a living human being if one answers the call.

As per BOB's post -- I called them back on 202-686-9097 and told them to stop calling me from 202-292-1558.  Was assured that I would be removed from their call list.

Someone e-mailed me recently and told me that Google could do the reverse look up with a phone number.  I was amazed that I could find out so much from just plugging in the 202-292-1558.  Thanks for your comments and suggestions.  I did call 202-686-9097 and a girl answered.  She said she would delete my number from the calling list.  Does anyone know about a caller (caller listed in Pompano Beach, Fla.) who leaves a message in which he says "the fourth message?"  That one is weird.

I called the number given by the others and a woman answered saying it was Computer Geeks.  She denied that they had called me from 202-292-1558, but then she took my number and said she would take care of it.  So they are doing this and lying!  Thanks for this web site.  This has been happening for months!  When you call them back on 202-292-1558, you get a busy signal.

Call them direct at 202-686-9097 and tell them to remove your number... if they don't then you have the right to hit them with phone harassment.

We have received a call from this number a million times.  Thanks Rae for suggesting the number that ECA and Chris posted.  The lady was rude and abrupt but promised to have us removed from their call list.  I am not sure what the purposes of the calls are becuase they just hang-up immediatly after we answer.

Just received the 'umpteenth' call from this number.  Read your site, called the number suggested by ECS and Chris and the person I spoke to promised to remove my number.  I agree, they are rude and almost verge onto harrassment.

Same as everyone else- called our office, I picked up and there was a hang-up.

Called my work line at 2:46pm on April 29.  I said hello and it was a hangup.  Then my coworker in adjoining cubicle received the same call and hangup.

I received their regular call from 202-292-1558 on Tuesday, April 1st at 5:19pm. As I've just read, I tried to call that number back, but kept getting a busy signal. Now I know that it's the infamous 'Jason'who has been calling for years. I did just call the 202-686-9097 number and spoke to a 'live' representative who took my information down and will 'DELETE' my number from their system!Thanks to ECS and Chris for providing the number!

I read on another website that it is definitely Computer Geeks.  They are looking to leave a message and will not talk to a live person.  You can call 202-686-9097 and ask to be removed from the list.

They call constantly right at bedtime while I am putting my kids to bed.  I run to the phone and they hang up as soon as I pick up.  It is really getting annoying and I want it to stop!  It didn't come up on caller ID but I hit *69.

Computer Geeks - Automated Telemarketing/Sales Call. They left a message on my voicemail.

Computer Geeks - used to be you could push the number two and another recording would tell you that you had been removed from call list, although they keep calling - now, however, - I can go throught the whole key pad and the automated call just keeps on talking

It's a line for Computer Geeks, and an automated sales call from them.

Just hang up on me....
