My dad recieved a call today from the 2023083558 number stating he was calling to settle a Capitol one credit card for $500 and needed a debit card when we asked for further information and a bill to be sent in the mail the man hung up the other number they called from was 2028035785

Got a call from 202-308-3558 but was told to call back at 202-803-5785. I called them back and the guy I talked to said it was for Capitol One credit card under a name that is not mine, saying I was going to be charged with fraud. They had the 4 digits of my social, an old address from 10 years ago, but had my new phone number. They said my debt to capitol one was over 3k but would settle for 300 dollars. I almost bought it. I looked on here under both numbers and everyone else was saying this was a scam for payday loans. Since I do not use payday loans I am thinking they just went to my credit report and picked something. I politely told him I did not appreciate being scammed because I looked under the BBB and the company name that came up states it is out of business with a completely different phone number. I have the mans name as Germone Lawrence as who contacted me.

Received a call from this number and was told my husband wrote a bad check for $550.00 and was going to be taken to court for fraud.  She asked if we still lived at an address that was over ten years old.  I said yes just to throw her off.  She told me my husbands last 4 digits of his S.S. number.  She said if it went to court it would cost $2500.00 plus fines.  She said this fraud charge would stay on his record forever.  She wanted to settle for the $550.00 and wanted me to pay today by credit card or prepaid card. She also said that this had been through 3 collection agencies and now it was turned over to her in D.C.  I told her I needed to discuss with my husband.  She said she would call me the following day.  I called the Attorney Generals office and was told immediately it was a scam. She called back a day later demanding the settlement and I told her I spoke to the Attorney General and reported them to Homeland Security and hung up on her!!!!

I received a call from 202-308-3558.  A lady told me I had a payday loan that I didnt pay and waz told I could pay 1500 and not go to court.  The lady said the loan company was Payday Loans of America.  She told me if they took me to court it would be an additional 2500 and I would be charged with fraud.  I finally told her I was going to the police cause I have nevef had a payday loan and she said have a good day.

Recording gave a name of who they were looking for, then said if he didn't call back at this number he would be in a court litigation and they would get a hold of the employer to collect $$$.                     I pressed number to talk to someone asking who they were looking for, he gave me a name and have this person call this number # 202-308-3558 to return call giving his name and social security number???  (Caller Company as seen on  I. D. Caller)

I have rec'd several call from this number 202-308-3558 saying that I own a payday loan on line.  I told then I didn't have a payday loan on line.  We went back and forward with that convention until they came up with, we have the wrong person, but they still calls.

I received a phone call today from a 202.308.3558 number and they couldn't give me any answers..When I asked to speak to immediate supervisors, I was given a name then another number to call 202.417.2021...The people were very rude and the phone kept hanging up. They said something about a payday loan but couldn't furnish any information about the company etc...They're a bunch of frauds..

I got a call today's in a row from someone threatening to call my job, sue me, and all sorts of things. My parents were worried that I'd done something wrong but I knew it was crap so I am glad I decides to investigate this number. I hope to talk to them myself because I plan on recording the conversation.

I decided to call the 202-308-3558# -- It stated the # you reached does not have a VM set up. I then called back on the 202-417-2021 I believe I talked to Andrea again.. I acted like I was Asian ( no offense to any on the sire) and said my last name was Yu and first name Fuk... shocking she was not able to pull the name up ( I *67'd my call) asked what # they called I said it was a pay phone and I did not know it. She asked if I knew someone I said no.. I asked what type of company was this and she said a collection agency. I said I did have a payday loan I did not pay. She then said I owed 1500... hmmm but she did not find an account.. I said cant pay it but want to work something out. She previously mentioned being subpoena to me. She offered me payments and a settlement and asked for a credit card. I said I had no credit card, she then said debit card. I said no.. asked what else. She said I will be charged with fraud. I asked if that meant going to jail. She said maybe.... I acted worried. She then said that she could not find my account. I asked why ask me to pay if did not have an account. I asked her to repeat my name. I think she then figured out what my name was and then started talking to someone in the background. Some guy came on the phone and said FU and hung up.

One thing I could hear in the background was them offering payments to someone else.. I hope they did not scam someone. It is amazing how the scammers try to collect when they are being "punked" back.

OK.. they called from 213-337-0014 # I decided to have fun.. The said I was being called for complaint (same old crap from these fake payday collectors). I decided to have some fun with them (they called my work). The # they said to call back on was 202-417-2021 which is a DC #. I talked to a femaile-- I said thank you for calling the FBI and asked who was calling .. said RS Litigators, asked for address said PO box 233 Washing ton DC , 20015. asked for physical address.. refused said can not give.. told I need to know to send one of my agents to them. said I could call 202-308-3558 and talk to one of the lawyers there. She said first her name was Andrea Williams and then said Sunday... When I said I was FBI she did ask someone in the background that I was from the FBI .. got her a bit nervous... we shall see if they call back..
