Impersonating a officer, state or federal is a crime.  For your home, consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.  But for work, they may need to speak with their phone service provider.

Keeps calling every day non-stop on private, work and now some how a co-workers private phone! HOW??  Says they are investigating a scam..Seriously?  The people calling say they are FBI but barely speak english.. This is a on-going problem and very scary.  They do not STOP no matter what a person says or threatens!!!

I got a call form 2022412105 and told me I have a warrant out for my arrest and to pay 1000 dollars in one hour or they would get me. I asked questions and they had no answers. I could barely understand him. Then he gave me this number to call 2023243000 and it was a scam.

I have been getting calls from this number as well as several others. 940-280-3051(wichita texas), 1-800-900-1370, 800-375-5283 (caller Id says Immigration and Naturalization service but it is not. they know how to spoof the caller id to say what they want). Lot of this calls are from offshore trying to scare you into paying them money via western union or greenpak, reloadit or other debit card type services. I know somebody who got scammed into sending several thousand dollars of cash via above cards. They keep you on the phone the whole time while you are going from store to store getting these cards loaded with cash under false pretense that you owe some fees or IRS money and they are trying to clear up your arrears. Even though you owe nothing they scare you by saying there is arrest warrant out or other scare tactics.

It is amazing how many people are falling for this scams and sending money. Law enforcement is obviously not doing enough to put these people behind bars and so this has been going on for years now if just search on internet these phone numbers. You see messages from people going back to 2007 and 2008 . That means so many people have been suckered yet FBI or local police has not done their job. The cash card services like green money pak, reloadit and western union are also obviously not doing enough to detect and stop these people from getting the money. These services make it easy for scamsters to remotely defraud people. And all the retailors like walmart, CVS and others who sell these cards are also not doing enough to detect the fraud at source.

Congress need to act and put restriction on these cash/debit card services from western union etc so there is a money trail and money can be refunded within 7 days if it turns out to be fraud. the card service companies need to be responsible for refunds and then they will automatically find ways to stop the scam.

We received two calls from 202-324-3000 today...looking for money.  It's becoming annoying.  We just hung up on them both times.

He was very rude and he threaten me. Then I called the same number and real FBI people said it's a scam.

Got 2 calls from this 202 number saying that my husband would be arrested for not paying his taxes and I need to make sure I send money.  Ha!  I heard about this scam on TV and told the guy he was a fraud and hung up!

I have got calls from this number several times in past week..!

Got a call from this number claiming that I owed $22,000 in IL state tax and that they had an arrest warrant for me. Demanded that I wire 50% within 2 hours and the rest in 2 weeks. When I told them to contact my attorney they threatened to send the local sheriff and kept repeating that time is running out. I hung up and called the number back and got the real FBI and they said this is a complete scam and that the FBI doesn't arrest people, nor would they make phone calls regarding taxes, and that it would be the IRS trying to contact me if this was at all true.

COMPLETE SCAM SO DO NOT WORRY IF YOUVE RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER.

I got a message today from these guys been getting many calls. I picked it up and challenged the guy saying I will 3 way my police department at which point he start to swear at me in Hindi. Obviously a fraud call. I wish they can shut these guys down.

Got a call from this number this morning and was told the Sheriff was on their way to arrest me as I had not paid the Florida State Tax for the year 2011!!  I told the AH that Florida did not have a State Tax!
The number given is the FBI # and when I called them they said this was a scam and the scammers are using a device that shows up on your caller id as a shadow number for the FBI

They told me hes was with the irs.  When i try to give a lawyers name and number,he told me the police are on the way to arrest me.  Very rude and hung up on me.

Indian origin callers-- very persistent in telling me that Officer Erwin Smith is trying to contact in regards to a legal complaint.

They know my name. They want to get my social. Introduced himself as officer. Other numbers from (732) 675-5060 and 777-889-7073. They may calling from India!

I just received a call from this number saying they were from the US Government! Are they really from the FBI?

Yep, and they say you have to pay "X" amount of dollars for taxes, "X" amount of dollars for this and that---its one heck of a scam!!! You never do get any money!!

This number just called me telling me I had a grant of 7000 dollars. They were with the US Grant department and my name was one of 15000 names chosen to receive this grant

Got a call claiming that they got a tip call, knew they were lying because guy never told me his name, only said they were calling from FBI. My attorney says FBI does not work like that, they will always identify themselves to protect themselves were legal action in court be necessary. Also, guy was snickering during call, voice was muffled like they were on a cell phone and he ended up hanging up on me!! When I called the # back, they announce themselves as FBI Headquarters but always hang up on me. The last time I called, I said "I know you are scammers and am going to report you to the REAL FBI", again they hung up on me. I called back again and asked for the person who answered name and agent # & they said they couldn't provide that information. I told them that my attorney said they have to provide that information and they hung on me. It is hilarious that people have nothing better to do then to play on the phone at all hours and try to scare people!!! LOL These individuals need to get a REAL job and stop being bums, their time will come when they are caught and sitting in the federal penitentiary regretting playing and prying on society!!!
