the call's that i have been receiving are coming in as Private Caller, but they are not leaving any messages, so i decided to ans. the call this a.m. caller (lady) asked for my husband, advised he was not here, she asked if any one in the household was over the age of 18 who could sign for legal doc's being delivered to our home, told her i was, then i interrupted her asking for info concerning the call, she declined saying it was legal and doc's were sealed,i asked her if this was so legit then why did my caller I.D. say Private, also advised her of some of our law's concerning "debt collector" calls, i also asked for the name of the comp. she was representing along with a phone #  at that point she said why,  i would just be waisting my time and hung up.

I received a phone call on my cell stating that they had forms needing my signature and would via be drop off at my home between 12 pm and 5 pm if i'm not at home be sure to arrive at work on time because they will drop the documents off if there's   no answer at my home,,,,,,,funny i thought it was really serious so i call back and got 2 people speaking in the background with a strange man who did not know how to complete his conversation well they put me on hold for far to long so i Google the phone # and got various postings on the same incident glad i my first mind

I received a call from a blocked numbe and was also given the 877-299-9113 number along with a file number that the caller, whom identified himself as a courier attempting to deliver legal documents, volunteered without me even asking for that info. I called the number and spoke with a respectful lady by the name of Julianna (so she claimed). It turns out this is a collection agency using scare tactics, threaten with legal proceedings, lie about their intentions,  and use possibly fraudulent methods to get debtors to call in. This collection agency buys bad debt from various sources and then attempts to collect using these possibly fraudulent methods. Not only that but the debt they are attempting to collect on is not even mine. It appears that they just match a name to a phone number and don't care if it is really the debtor.  Don't give them any information, they are just fishing for info to further their means. Any company that conducts it's business in such a deceptive manner should not be trusted in any way.

I just received two messages yesterday and today from a woman-who said the same times and information i am reading above. I cld the number with the file number 6928984 and left a message for an arbirtration dept. we will see what call back i get tomorrow.   wow!

I received a call from a blocked number asking for my husband.  Said he was Joe Petterson from Division One Courier services and that he had to deliver legal documents within 48 hours. Gave me the number 1-877-299-9113 to call back and gave me a file number.  He gave me old info the only thing that he had right was my current cell number but had my husbands old number and old sddress.  I did NOT give any new info.  He didn't get loud or rude but when I wouldn't give him any info he said I need to take it up with the people at that number.  We have had this happen to us a couple years ago and i'm not falling for it this time.  Lucky last time we found these before any money or info was given.  So this time I knew.  So beware don't give any info.  IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!

I keep getting a call from this person who says she Ann Smith sayin that they tried getting a hold of me with some documents to sign and will be going to my place of employment so make myself available between 12-5pm...,hello, I don't work. I've been on disability for the past year... THat I need to call this number 1877-299-9113 to settle this matter! Bunch of B.S. I'm glad I looked this number up and found this reviews! Whewwww got me a little going there for a moment!

A Mr. Stark called and left a message on my husband's cell phone today saying he would serve me with legal papers tomorrow sometime between 12 and 5pm. He stated that he had already made several attempts to reach me at home and at work... (I haven't worked in over a year and am home all day.) He left a cell phone number with no area code, but said I could reach the arbitration department at 877-299-9113. I have no outstanding bills or loans and believe this is a scam. Don't waste your time calling them back!

We just got a call from this number today.  Said his name was Joe Peterson and that he had papers for me it sign and would be at my home or work between 12-5 tomorrow.  He gave me a file number and told me to call 877-299-9113 to resolve this issue and then they would put in a stop order for these papers.  When I called the number it went to a voice mail.  It said I reached an arbitration line.  I have no idea what this is.

I've now received 4 calls from a "Dan Smith" who is FOS basically. Says he didn't receive a "hold order" (whatever the heck that's supposed to be!) so he will be by my offfice today and I need to make myself available.  Uh, okay Dan.  Whoever you are and whatever you're supposedly working for is engaged in illegal collection activity, though I have no idea what it is you're supposedly collecting.  Strange that your calls are "PRIVATE NUMBER" and thus untraceable, while the voice message caller id shows as "Unknown."  Pretty slick, Slick.

I got a call from the company today. They left a message saying they had tried to reach me at home and at work. I knew it was a scam for I am always at home due to disability. They called my friend and told her she would be summoned to court and the only way she could prevent that was to have me call the number and ask that she be removed. I called the number 4 times, 3 times it rang and then rang busy, the 4th time I got a person on the phone. The lady kept asking for the last 4 digits of my SSN, I refused. She then told me I would be served within 24 hours. My friend was wondering why they called her. The only thing I could think of is a 2009 payday loan.

Just now received a vm from a "private number". Dan Smith said the exact same verbage, said if I wanted to speak with the filer call 877-299-9113.  Left no other details.  Don't even give these jerks the courtesy of any explanation because, bottom line, they don't care.  What they are doing is illegal.

I received a call today, as did other members of my family.  The individual claimed his name was Mr. Layne, yet when I called the number a woman answered as a firm to assist in settlement to avoid additional court dates and charges.  They had outdated information about a debt from 2009, and wanted to have me settle an alleged amount over the phone to save me $2000 in court and attorney fees.  I refused to give them any information, and asked that they provide me with paperwork.  I will wait to see if they follow through, I did give them my new address to make sure the paperwork that was being served was deliverable.

They  said they were going to serve me legall documents due to a friend putting me down as a refreance.
That they were arbitration bureau in new york. that she had to call to get my name removed so I wont have to go to court on her behalve they had a file number and everything the ladies name was Kathrine Porter. She was uable to give me any info just trying to get me to get my friend who they were after to call. they would tell me the sent information somewhere else. They could not give me a court date nothing.total scam

A person by the name of Dan Smith called to tell me they were going to serve papers on a Mike McGill sometime between 12 and 5 the next day and to call this number 877-299-9113 if I had any questions.  I did call  that number as I do not even know the person they are looking for.  The man I got a hold of was so rude. I apoloize that I did not get his name.  I do not know how to prosecute this but I would like to do so.   I was only trying to tell the person that I was not the one they were looking for and did not know Mike McGill and to quit calling me.  I did not feel that I needed to give my name or any information about me as I was not the person involved.   I have had many phone calls from this number as well as another number in the last few days but I work nights so I dont always get my  calls right away.  The man was so rude it was just unbelievable.  I called him back three times as the first time he just hung up on me.  When I tried to explain that I was not the person the second time he hung up again.  The third time I told them I would report them to the police and he kept saying  then keep your word and do it.  I finally just gave up trying to do the right thing.  I would like to know more about this and find out is this is a scam or just what this is.

I just got a same call from this same number 877-299-9113

They said I owed money for a pay day loan. The thing is that I did take out a pay day loan back in 2009 but I thought I had paid this one off. Then I got this phone call yesterday of someone telling me this very same thing!!! I went home and I couldn't find my proof that I had paid that pay day loan so I was going to pay it off today with them. I have been trying to call this number all morning and it rings and rings and then get a voice mail with a "full mailbox" Now I am thinking that this IS indeed a scam!!!!!!! :( How can we stop these people?????

I have moved and changed employers in the last three years, which is why it sounded weird that he acted like he knew everything about me. All these scammers know how to talk the talk, but they'll hang up when it backfires.

Holy S***!  That was exactly what happened to me except it was with some chick Carmen. This is the second time they have called me in the last 6 months and I had the same conversation with some dude. I waited around the whole day for these legal papers and of course he never showed. He was aware of my address and they did know my previous employer but its not super secret information. You can purchase info online about anyone these days. I guess I should just ignore this. I was told by a friend that next time I should just tell them that I am recording the call for my safety and that if I find out that I have been scammed that I will file charges.  She said they will hang up quick.  LOL  I think I'm gonna try it.

called and said they are coming to my home with some legal documents and asked that I call to rectify the problem before they get there. Gave me a file number and this 877 number to call. They knew my previous employer but that isn't like its super secret info. dont think this is real because I don't currently owe anyone that I know of.

A Mr. Lane called and left a message on my phone on Monday saying he would serve me with papers tomorrow sometime between 12 and 5pm. The phone number he provided was 877-299-9113.
He called me again the next morning and I actually got to talk to him. He claimed that he worked for some company that served legal papers. I asked him if he was going to serve me with papers, wouldn't he just do it and not call me first? The man was rude. His reply was, "Are you telling me how to do my job?" Then he asked me if I was going to be available between 12 and 5 that afternoon to receive the papers and sign for them- RED FLAG. I had to work and there was no way, so my reply was no. Then he replied, "So you're not going to cooperate! I guess then I'll show up at your place of employment and embarrass you in front of your co-workers!" Then he hung up. I was going to ask him if he even knew where I lived or worked.
I called my local police department. The caller had not called me enough times for me to file a harassment complaint, but the officer I talked to agreed that the call did sound suspicious.
I don't know how this guy is intending to make this scam work, but there is no way I'm giving out any information just because he threatens me.

Was told to call this number from a cell phone or I would be served with legal documents. I guess it's a debt collector scam. Funny, because I checked my credit report and there is nothing on that would raise a flag.
