Costar company should stop calling. ...

Credit card stolen, I have been receiving hang up calls from Area Code 202 ever since.  Do not answer any calls unless I know who they are, these are scammer calls

I'm a realtor. I used them once and they keep calling me every week to see if I want to use their services again. Really freaking annoying. Just as bad as a telemarketer.

I do not know this company but they are calling me day and night about 3 times a day.

they asked if I owned the property. I said I sold it 3 weeks ago and then he said yeah on Sept 18, DUH! why did he ask?

Received a call from this number today. They ask if the medical center was still here. I have no idea what they were referring to.

It was a rep from LOOPNet.  If you search for office space on their website, they'll start calling to assist your search.  No danger.

Caller ID showed COSTAR RLTY INF, lady asked if I owned the CAR WASH she had seen on the map??
Told her I was not the owner, do not know who owns it, I am familiar with the area in question but I did not live near that area.  Referred her to the new QuikTrip Gas Station that had been built on that corner.

Guess the call was legitimate,  get more than enough SCAM calls per day, even though I have been on the DO NOT CALL LIST since it has been in existence.

Please stop calling me it is extremely annoying.  You are calling a 212 685-4810 number

They call my office number constantly. Finally asked them to take us off their calling list.

Has anyone actually gone to the Costar site? www.costar.com It's a research company. They get funded by CRE professionals. Large brokerage firms, small firms, traders, government agencies REITs,  the Assessor's office, etc.

They do research on the commercial real estate market. Basically, they get paid to collect information on it all from what commercial properties exist , who owns them, who manages them. If they are actively on the market for sale for lease. any projects that are under construction or proposed to be developed, who sold what, who bought what, who is a tenant at a property, etc, how long has something been on the market, whats the average sale price, lease price , etc.

They aren't telemarketers so they don't have to abide by the DNC list. They aren't trying to sell you anything. They have a sales side but most of the calls are about researching the market. It's their business to show everything that's current with the market, even if the RE agent doesn't want to list to them. If its available for lease or sale its their business to show it no matter what.

They don't get paid by the listing agent . They get paid by everyone else to show it all. They expect the listing agent to list with them and keep it current because it tends to be hard for the agent to explain to a property owner why they are choosing not to speak to someone about their property they are trying to sell or lease.

This idiotic crappy "real estate"  company has been told NOT to call me in the one personal call I took from them.

I have ONE commercial property NOT listed with any brokers, and they won't quit calling every few weeks. I even told them the truth..that my property is ugly, its next to an abandoned and dangerous building that's falling in, located in a town where the biggest two businesses are the funeral home and the laundromat, and they STILL won't quit calling.

Like someone else said, this borders on harassment, and even moreso, considering they're in Washington and my property is in Michigan, so there's no way they could see the private sale sign in my window of the property, so some third party scum is involved!

Too bad one can't "slam" a phone down anymore. It would feel SOOOOOO good.

COSTAR Realty  -  I've told them on numerous times not to call me. They change their number and call again.  They are violating the do not call list.

They told me they were looking at my properties on loopnet.com and wanted to know if they were still available.

I received one too many calls from CoStar, I believe they think we are playing because they have no respect for other people's time, nor respect for what we do, and on top of that they get pissed off when you tell them you want to be removed from their list, they act as if they are doing me a favor and yet continue with the anoying calls and their b***s*** pitch about trying to help me lease my properties. The fact of the matter is that they are after your data so that they can sell it to somebody else, beware and do not give them any info is the only way we will stop thei anoying calls.

It's simple. Update your listings if you want them to stop calling. If you think you dont need them, why is your property STILL available??? If the property is no longer available let them know and they will remove it. If you never answer or hang up when you do, they will keep calling until they get answers.

NON-STOP calls. This is a busy Biz no time to play with these guys . Never trust viva-phone calls nor net. They need to mail, well that would be mail fraud, if a scam... BIG troubles for them with the US postal ! that we will not see. hmmmmmmmmm why? STOP CALLING US...WE WILL CALL YOU, IF NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for connection to Loopnet.   I had commercial listing on Loopnet and now get this 202-346-6500 (actual 202 346 6720) call asking me to call them about my property.  They did not mention Loopnet but the connection now seems apparent.   Heads up all Loopnet users..

Costar apparently purchased Loopnet and wished to confirm information for internet on two retail lease spaces I had just entered in Indialantic.

Numerous calls,  have no dealings with this company.

I get constant calls from this number. have never answered any of them, but continue to get calls. is there a way to end the calls? let me know.

Caller identified himself as TIM from CoStar Realty.  Interested in information about a commercial property we currently lease.  We are presently in a Lease Agreement for one year with the option for the Lessor to renew for two more years.  (This call came in 5/01/12).  Advised us to remove the sign on the property.

Once again TIM called 5/02/12 and said how we spoke yesterday.  Today he asked for the name of the party leasing our property and then had the nerve to ask how much we were getting paid from them.  TOLD TIM IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THAT THE INFORMATION REGARDING HOW MUCH WE WERE GETTING PAID WAS NOT FOR PUBLIC INFORMATION.  (Bit my tongue not to say it was none of his business!)

BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU ANSWER A CALL FROM 202-346-6500.
