RECEIVED A CALL FROM TELEPHONE #202-451-7830.  Orient person stated he was going to give me $9,000.00 and tax free money.  Where do you want it?  Bank account or plastic?..  I told him I wanted it up my a**.  He kept insisting where do you want it bank or plastic. I hung up.

I did not answer the phone but I did look up this site. Seems like a scam call.

Got a call from this number, answered but no response...

5 seconds in to the call I could tell what it was, as soon as he said $9000 that I didn't have to pay back, I hung up then and there. I wonder how many people accualy fell for that.

It doesn't do any good to report these numbers to anyone. Yes they are scams but they are from possibly Nigeria (where all good scams come from) or another country. The numbers used arnt traceable. Just ignore them and they will eventually stop. No use in waisting your time reporting them there's nothing the authority's can do whether it's local or government. The more you answer the more they will call once again IGNORE them they will stop.

Received a call from this number got them same message us gov going to give me a 9000.00 grant. all i have to do, and i hung up.

GOT THIS TELEPHONE CALL AND HUNG UP,HARD TO HEAR WHAT THE MALE SAID. JUST HUNG UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TELEPHONE CALL.

I love this web site!  It keeps expanding the # numbers in my Spam folder.
They called 11:30 this morning, I live in the 919 area code.

Sound like a far away call ,

Fantastic offer! All I have to do is give them my bank routing numbers to get $9,000.00 of grant money.  This is almost as good as the offer I got from an african general by e-mail.  Woo Hoo! This is my lucky day!

Got a call from this number early in the morning...like everyone else is saying, some dude with a heavy accent said I was eligible for a $9000 grant for no apparent reason, just that I pay my bills on time. The only reason I stayed on the line at first is because I thought it was someone with student finance...it became apparent very quickly it wasn't and everything about this call screamed SCAM! He claims that the money will go directly into your account and you can use it on anything you want basically. He's very difficult to understand because along with the accent there's almost like a robotic/electronic tone/interference making it impossible to hear exactly what he's saying. He'll eventually say he's gonna transfer you to another person in the US treasury dept and get your information...funny how you're selected for this supposed grant yet they don't even know your name right? Needless to say, I hung up. Warn your friends and family!

A person that barely speaks english called from this number, he claims to be from the federal government grant divison to give me free money.  The minute I asked him what divison, whats the website?  number, he hung up.  Smells like a scam, I am sure it is.  

I received a call today, went to answer machine. Americans voice stating southwest 90t. My area code is big Orange Country, 865.

i just received a call from this number and was greeted by a woman with a terrible accent.  She launched into her speil and after a few moments I said "I am sorry but I cannot understand a word you are saying," and I really could not.  She launched off again and I guickly told her I could not understand her again.  This happened a couple of more times and then she huing up after cursing me in some unknown language.

They tried to say it was for a government grant for citizens who had "paid their dues" and did not have a criminal record, but that I was randomly selected by phone number (which makes no sense). It was for $9,000, and supposedly from the "US Grant Department" and he would give me a call back number for the "Treasury Department". He said they recently made it towhere they could not send it by check, so it had to be a wire transfer or by debit or credit card (which, of course, you don't put money on a credit card). When I said I was not comfortable giving that information over the phone, he said "If you don't trust us, you can give us a zero balance account or cash card," and when I repeated my statement, he said "What, so you don't need the money?" I said of course I did, but that if they were really the government, they would have no problem sending it by check because that is how they send tax returns, too. Then he just said "Ok, bye," and hung up. Do not trust this number.

Got a call this morning. Didn't recognize the number so I called it back. Got a recoding saying Southwest 90T twice and then a busy signal. McCreary County KY. Cell phone.

I just received a call from 202-451-7830 claiming I was eligible for a $9,000.00 grant. Said he was calling from Washington DC and that he would give me a code and I could have the money put into my checking account or Credit Card. Was told I would not have to pay it back because I paid my bills and was a good citizen with no criminal record. He also asked how I would spend the grant once I received it. Told him I was not interested.

Just to let everyone know that these people are still at it, I just got a call from this number (5/7/14). I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number and of course they didn't leave a message.

Just got a call from this number. Guy with a thick Indian accent telling me something about me getting 9k from the government and that he was calling from Washington. Asked him to repeat several times what he said because I could hardly understand.him and just to annoy him. After I got tired, I told him to put me in his do not disturb list and he hang up. Oops I think I blew it and won't be getting my free 9k after all LMAO!

I received a call from this number, a male told me that I he was calling from Washington DC and that I was going to receive $9,000.00 from the Federal Goverment. I immediately hang up the phone ...

Also, Just got a call from this number - Man with accent, obviously reading from a script, said he was calling from the US Treasury Department and that I was 1 of only 1500 to qualify for the same $9000 grant because I paid my taxes on time. Funny thing is, I did not pay taxes this year! Was told the same options of having it wired in or applied to a credit card. If I wished to proceed, they would transfer me to another department to take my info. I said I was busy and could I call back, but he said he had 1500 people to call so this was a one time opportunity. I said, if the US Treasury will not schedule a call, then it must be a scam.  He continued to stay on the line as I dragged it on, but finally said if I did not want the money, her would go to the next person.

Maybe unrelated, immediately prior to receiving this call, I received a call from 206-278-0974 - perhaps to verify I was available before having a live person call.

Just received a call from Middle Eastern/African sounding female told me I was granted $9,000. I told her to give me her number so I can call her back...she hung up.  Scam

I received this call via my cell phone. I didn't recognize the number so let it go to voicemail. Left no message. I called the number back and got the same response as everyone else. I wonder if i had answered what their response would have been if I had replied: "$9000 grant approval? WHY didn't they approve my $10,000 grant request?", or "I can't get a debit or credit card and the bank won't open an account for me!", or "We don't have a Walmart here where I live?" What really gets me is that ALL my numbers are on a DO NOT CALL registry! So how'd they get my number? I wasn't born yesterday!!

I didn't answer the first time they called because I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. After finding this site and finding out it was a scam (big surprise) they called again today. I answered the call and said "FBI FIELD OFFICE" and said the name of the city next to mine and I think the guy hurt his hand hanging up the phone as soon as I finished.lol : I don't think they will ever call back again and if they do I will answer the same way, WHAT A BUNCH OF IDIOTS!

I just got a call from this number and they also said i was selected for a 9000 dollar grant and told me what I could use it for then asked what i was gonna choose I said I dont want your Grant and he hung up. He never stated my name or asked and I didnt give him time to get any info. He also had a thick indian accent. My phone said it was from DC USA.

I also got a call from this number . I never answered because It's not It's my contacts and It's don't do business with anyone It's n Washington . This morning curiosity got me and It's n called the number back . All It's not said was you have reached southwest 90t . These dang scammed .

Got this call today, I just let him ramble then I said I may have been born in April but it wasn't yesterday.  I hung up.

Got a call on my cell phone from unknown #.  Since I know people in DC I answered it.  It was an asian-sounding man and I told him he had a wrong number after a couple of seconds and hung up.

I just got the same call about 15 minutes ago.  It was a man with a very heavy accent.  I kept having to ask him to repeat what he was saying. He told me 9000 in federal grant money was waiting for me in the federal reserve in NY. He said the government picked me because I was a good citizen and had no criminal record. Then I asked him "What's my name" he replied "I don't know", then he said we just need a reloadable gift card or cc, debt card and then I can pass you to the federal reserve.  I then said ok, lets us a reloadable prepaid card.  He quickly said no it has to be cc or debt, walmart, etc..., I then said "why doesn't the government just give it to my college and he said because the College will take your money.(funny!!!).  I then said I was not comfortable giving my information to him, because I knew he was scamming me and he said "yes".  I then said that the government would just mail me a check, not use a non English speaking scam artist. I told him that I hope Jesus finds a way into his heart soon, and that he finds a new job before he ends up with a criminal record. He was speechless.  Then I hung up, called the number back and got Southwest 90T, then busy signal.  I have a 754 area code. Fla.
