Just recieved a call from this number - on my cellphone - and a man started to scream at me claiming I had stole his credit card information to make an amazon.com purchase. After about a minute I realized it was a scam because he yelled at me to stop interrupting him and I had not said anything. When I called the number back it went to a fax machine. Let's just say it was very unnerving!

This number is being used to collect vehicle insurance information, unclear yet for what purpose.  DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION TO ANYONE YOU DO NOT KNOW.  Contact phonebusters Anti Fraud Canada 1-888-455-8501.

I recieved a call from this number right now, i didn't answer because I never answer unknown numbers and I have no relatives in California, so, i thought, this could be a scammer! I'm in Mexico!

They didn't like that the called the police dept. they hung up!, wonder why  lol

These scamming fools called but didn't say anything. Since I cuss them out each time, you would think they would cross my name off their lists.  The call came from Arcadia CA or so the caller ID says...I wish I could reach through the phone and choke them. So annoying and there is no chance in hell that I would fall for their schemes.

Scam: Called to tell me my computer has been sending error messages and needed me to give him remote access to my computer. I lead him on for 10 minutes. LOL!

They keep calling over an over again

Called telling me they were from Microsoft Tech, and they were receiving signals from my computer that needed addressed. Told them never call again, in distant little avatars kept talking, hung up. Called back and said it's disconnected ......

My brother used the service. They cleaned out $750 out of my brothers Bank Account via Western Union. I going after them with the Feds!

Calls from 626 574-9221 are from somewhere in India where they try to SCAM you into getting your "windows virus fixed". They will try to convince you that tests were run on your computer, I assume to get your credit card number.

No one can stop them because they are from a foreign country.

same here and he told me my computer had been hacked and they had my ip address - I told him to call my local police department and he told me to go to h*ll and hung up.

My neighbor came over phone in hand yesterday. I took over as pseudo husband. Lady with accent declared computer was at risk. She was "calling from Windows". My computer had viruses, they had received reports from it. "I have to go do some thing RIGHT NOW!, please give me your number" .. "It is .. 000-77000" Ya, right.
The phone got the caller's number as 626-574-9231. *SCAM!*

I just receive a call from 626-574-9231 and they wanted to take control fo my computer to fix it !! I said no thanks I will fix it myself !

I got a call from same number. Was they wanted to fix my computer. Told them I work for a computer company and fix my own computer..... They hung up real quick lol. I called the number back and I got a recording telling me the number has been disconnected   And by the way..... I don't work for a computer company, but I can fix my own computer. Lol.

Got a call from 626-574-9231 - a scam - heavy accented man asked for "Mr. John" - heard my husband telling him he didn't order anything & hung up.

Turns out this number may be an outside pay phone in Arcadia, CA - see this link showing a listing of California pay phones, scroll to the end of the 3rd large group of #'s.  If so, the Do Not Call reporting won't work.

Received a call from 626-574-9231 at 1:43 EST 2-28-2012. Silence at first, then I heard a ring tone so I knew this was being forwarded/connected to a call center. Some idiot started signing in some foreign language. Ignored me. I could hear lots of talking in the background. Then he laughed and hung up.

This is a new phone # I've had only about a month and have received nonstop collection calls from all kinds of folks. This was a first. Never had an idiot sing to me before in a language I can't understand.

I just filed a formal complaint against these jerks.

Just got a call at 6am, strong Indian accent saying "...so this is about your computer..." I hung up because it was such a ridiculous time to call me and they didn't say a company name.

i pick the call, no one was answering the call

Call display comes up "unavailable".  Male with heavily broken accent (could hardly understand him) ... but essentially was telling me that my "windows" computer was at risk ... and was offerng to "fix" my computer.  These calls are becoming VERY tiresome! and annoying!
