Calls Repeatedly w/o leaving a message.  I only found out who it was by calling them back finally.

I received two telephones from ERS today (7/19/10). The first time they did not leave a call back number. Te second time they called they did not leave a message. I called them back and the caller was not truthful to me in the information conveyed to me. Information was out dated and he refused to contact reponsesable party after being told repeatedly who that was. I do not take kindly to harrassment.

This telephone is from a company called ERS. They are Debt Collectors.  I personally contacted them back to ask them to stop harassing me.  They have several other phone numbers and they contact you several times a day, even on Weekends.  Someone needs to stop them.  This is completely against the law.  That's stalking.

These people call all hours of the day and night. They have called as late as 10PM and have threatened my husband with violence saying they will come to our home if we don't pay a debt they claim to be collecting on from 1989!!! I have told them repeatedly that the account was settled in 1989 and told them with whom it was settled and that I will not negotiate anything on this but they apparently are just as stupid as they are stubborn because they keep right on calling.

I have received three calls from 202-461-3449. A computer voice says "we are calling with an important business opportunity".
Not so important that they would actually pick up the phone though. The computerized dialler just puts me on hold.

Again, calls from 202-462-3449. Computer voice says "we are calling with an important business message". After waiting on hold for a few minutes, a "James Tyler", if that is his real name, submits to my questions and admits that he is calling form a collection agency. They are representing a community college where I took a class and paid for it. I have the receipts and the college knows it too.

I told them to present me with an itemized invoice, or never call back.

I've had similar calls from the same number, but they never leave a message. I've found they leave messages with people who have their voice mail set with a personal message. I took my personal message off of my voice mail so now all it says is, "you have reached: 111-111-1111". i don't know if this will help but at least they won't leave messages any more.

This number has popped up 3x on my cell phone - twice on 7/29 and once just now on 7/30.  No voicemail left.

My first call from 202-641-3449 about 15 minutes ago. We'll see how many more I get. I'm paying my student loans right now so why would they need to call me about that? They sound pretty shady.

I have told  these people that I will consoladate my loans in April 2011 not be fore and they keep haressing me day and night, weekdays and weekends I have even told them to stop calling and they won't

You can write a cease and desist letter by certified mail.

They call me all the time. It doesn not stop. They try to trick you leaving messages like " I recieved your email and would like to talk about some opportunities with you." I'm unemployed so I fell for this the frist time. They then laughed at me because I have no one to "borrow" money from to pay back my college. Here are some other numbers they use.781-884-0676

Get calls from ERS all the time and I tell them the person they are looking for does not live here.  They still call at least 6 times a day from different phone #'s.  This is the first from 202-461-3449,  but they call from 732-941-0167, 315.627.7131 and others I am so tired of it.  I just don't answer the phone anymore.

yes, this is ERS - a collection agency - and they do call from various numbers.  another number, in addition to the one listed by brandy above, is 732-941-0167.

Received a call from this number on Jan 18, 2010. No message left. When I called back the call did not go through.

Received a call asking for my gov't from a Gracie Smith. Refused to leave any information when i asked her to leave a message.

ERS has about 10 different numbers they call from and they do not stop! 202.461.3449, 315.627.7131 and many others. I wish I would document it all and sue them!

someone called my grandparents looking for me at this number.  even knew where i attended undergrad.  said he was trying to get in touch with me. hmmmm
