I received call from unknown number saying i was selected for $7000 grant from the government and gave me an authorization # and a phone # 202-470-0037 and speak to a Steven Watson to receive my grant money-- I know this is a big scam because the guy didn't even know my name but yet he knows i was chosen to receive the grant--- im not rocket scientist but these people have got to come up with better line of S*** to complete a scam like that LOL

got a call from this number saying i had 7k coming to me because of my great credit history and lack of criminal record i just had to pay them 250.00 than they would send me 7k asked them why they dont just take the 250.00 out of the 7k and they coundnt give me an answer i could understand

.... So I answer the phone, only for the phone call to turn the tables and was ringing as f I called someone. An Indian guy answered and asked to speak to me. However, the guy couldn't pronounce my name correctly. He asked if he could just verify a couple pieces of info and preceded to ask me my age.. He stated he was calling on behalf of the U.S Government Grants Department and said I was chosen as a result of not having a criminal record and paying my taxes and bills on time for the past six months to recieve a $7,000.00 grant. He was very irritable whenever I rebuttled with a question and he spoke fast. These Guys  Are A Joke..... Who the hell hands over 7Racks and especially in this fiscal time????        JOKE******FRAUDULENT******SCAM******SCHEME

I have been getting the same call...I get pissed and tell them to stop calling and I get another call in two days..cale he # they gave its a bs number..I asked to dude his name and he got upset and said I was asking dumb questions? lol...then i asked him if he works for the government then why cant I understand a lick of his english? idiots!

My Daughter got a call saying she had received a 7000.00 grant for school. she could get it three was one cash (took 48hrs) second school credit, third on a debit card. gave her this number to call back to tomorrow.

I received the same called as everyone else it sounded to go to be true but I asked questions and told the same women I was unable to get to a western union and can I call them back so she accepted I also told them about how people are trying to scam people and the person I talked to said how else are you going to get this once in a life time grant. Thank god my 2nd thought kicked in and wondered if the $250.00 is going to a charity why would there be a processing fee I didn't like that part so at that point I was disinterested so if anybody gets these call IGNORE THEM I know when or if they call me back I will not be understanding their language I am so glad I looked this number up to see if it was real or NOT. They also told me not to mention this to anyone else GO FIGURE.  I SEE WHY NOW. SHAME SHAME SHAME I hope no one gets fooled by this.

I got a call from someone named Christine Jones from US govt grant dept. saying that I have won the grant of 7000 USD & asked for my card details as well.They are fakes just dont fall in the trap. They said I am eligible coz I have paid all my taxes on time & am not declared bank crupt so I received it. Don give them any information.

I have received several phone calls from these same people.  Claiming to be different groups.  One guy told me to give him my cc# just for verification.  Do I sound that stupid!?  Anyways, today was the gov scam.  They knew a lot of info about me and the only thing I can think is that I clicked on a link on facebook for some free Toms shoes.  Then I started getting a ton of phone calls on my cell phone.

i also got a call from this number saying that i've also been chosen by the government and was given 7.000 dollars. the guy said that i needed to pay 180.00 dollars to receive the money i almost did but i realized that it was a fraud when the guy told me to go out and fill out the form without informing the person working at western union about the money because they will charged me 350.00 dollars. good thing i had to think twice and yes i also called the lady and she sure got mad and hung up on me when i asked her why was i picked and more sorts of questions..

Someone called Henry Kagxy rang me a few minutes ago saying I was chosed to recieve a government grant of $7000. He gave his manager's name as Marsha Stevenly and address as 200 Independence Avenue, South West Washington DC. Is this a scam?? The other manager is called jennifer --he gave no last name. He also said i could call him back on the above number when i asked for a contact number.

?Free Government Grants?: Don?t Take Them For Grant-ed

Stacey said that I was selected to receive a $7,000 grant and had to call 202-470-0037 and give my grant code in order to receive the money.

I called the number and was told I could receive the money in a direct bank deposit, on a credit card, or as cash.  i said I wanted cash, because I was not going ot give out any information that they don't already have.

The lady (foreign accents for both women and very hard to understand, sound Indian), told me the money would be sent through Western Union and that I would have to pay a $250 processing fee.

This is where it got confusing.  I think I had to send them $250 in order for the "Federal Reserve Bank" to process the transaction to send me the $7,000.  The $250 also would go to a charity.

She got very upset when I started asking why I would need to send this money.  I asked her to send the $7,000 and then I would pay the $250 from that money.  I also asked, if the $250 was a processing fee, why is it going to a charity?

She hung up after that last question.

person said i *won 7,000 in grant money but need to wire 250 dollars.
