They called me today asking to speak to a business owner.  I told them they called a house; they apologized and hung up.  It is really my cell phone number and  I am a business owner but usually when someone asks for a business owner they try to sell you product or service.  

Called again.  Blocked again using the Digitone call blocker.  
Our phones do not ring when a blocked call comes in and our business is not disturbed

Asked for owner by name.  I said, "He's not available; would you like to leave a message"?  She hung up.  

Even if this was a legitimate business we wouldn't do business with them because they are so rude!  LOL That's how you start your relationships, right?  Like a stalker, calling and hanging up.  LOL  

received a call on my personal cell phone "Hi may I speak to the business owner" I said "this is not a business" and he apologized and hung up.

CALLED AGAIN - BLOCKED AGAIN

I can add one clue -- either QuickBooks or Facebook Faceify gave them our numbers.  I started using both recently and gave both a relatively un-used phone number, and suddenly I'm getting calls from scavengers wanting to provide me with merchant services.

I was getting sporadic calls from this # last Summer; but, they eventually stopped, so I forgot about it. Sure enough, they started calling again this morning! So, I went to the FTC's National Do Not Call website and made a formal Complaint in which I included THIS site's URL; so, hopefully, they will be able to put a stop to this nuisance for ALL of us! In the meantime, the FTC suggests we do the following if we get Robocalls in the future:

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU GET A ROBOCALL?
?Hang up the phone. Don't press 1 to speak to a live operator and don't press any other number to get your number off the list. If you respond by pressing any number, it will probably just lead to more robocalls.
?Consider contacting your phone provider and asking them to block the number, and whether they charge for that service. Remember that telemarketers change Caller ID information easily and often, so it might not be worth paying a fee to block a number that will change.
?Report your experience to the FTC online or by calling 1-888-382-1222.

Thanks to this site. I normally do not answer unknown calls, but then, on rare occasion, it was a legitimate call ( a friend or customer moved out of state). I usually googled and then come to this site to determine if I have a junk call or not. This site and Google have been very helpful.  THANK YOU 800NOTES dot com

Someone called our work number asked if it was our company's name and then asked to speak to the owner, when I said she wasn't available could I take a message I was told no, we'll just call back. No idea who these people are.

This number calls several times a day but we don't answer the call. we have this number marked as a solicitation call. When they call don't answer the call.

STOP CALLING ME IF I WANT YOUR SERVICE I WILL CALL YOU.

Read about them here. They are Credit Card processing company that is rated at the bottom of the list. Appstar Finincial.  Don't recommend having any contact with them.

As JPS above (or below) said they are a sales company and an auto dial annoying one. they are a member of the BB so file a complaint online and in order for them to keep their paid for A+ rating they will remove your number from calling list.

I got a call today from this number it is so annoying how these companies just call and when you answer they hang up.  I started adding each number to a hang up list so when they call back I dismiss the call without ever picking up.

Google listing update

Scam on credit card processing , they  offer a teaser rate and jack up the prices later.  These people are looking for 1st timers who will start processing credit cards.  what they don't tell you is the fee they advertise will not be honored

Receive a call from this number at least 2-3 times per week.  Each time, the individual asks to speak with the owner.  Call is never put through and no message is every left.

They never leave a message, obviously. I do NOT answers as most of the 855 numbers cost the person who answers money. IN general THIS needs to be blocked by the government to protect consumers!

I love my iphone and ios7 whcih includes a call blocker.  once you look up a number on 800notes, if it is a spammer, scammer or other undesirable, you can block further calls from that number forever with a click.

I've suddenly started receiving calls from 855-409-4424 with no identification and they leave no message. Suggests it's a robo call of some sort.
