We received a call from this number, 202 470 1419, acting like an agent from the IRS, threatening that if we don't give them credit card information the police will be coming to pick us up.

I got a call from this number as well. Said they were IRS and that I was going to be arrested for tax fraud, however, if I paid $4k today, it can be resolved. He didn't let me hang up and wanted me to stay on the line until I resolved the matter with pre-paid gift cards.

Hello, I actually called back and this man said he was an agent and that I had committed tax fraud in 2007. He threatened to have me arrested and freeze my accounts if I didn't pay the tax fraud. I asked if I could call a lawyer or my tax people and he said that if I hung up the phone he would have the police/FBI at my home to take me in. When I began asking information such as what is his badge number, what is the case number, and that I wanted to talk to his supervisor he began getting defensive and said that I wasn't helping with my situation and that the cops were on the way and hung up. Defiantly a scam!

Yes, I started receiving this call Monday, June 9, 2014. So far it is just once a day.

Calls every hour -leaving messagestating from IRS with different 'officer's" name. State that if we don't return their call or if they do not hear from our attorney that all they can do is "wish us luck".
