I wanted it to be real I need it so bad for my son and my sanity, but now have just enough money to buy a bullet? Why and how do these people get away with this OUR GOVERNMENT??? THATS A JOKE!!!! my code was DB211 and told them to give me grant and i would pay double once i had money she would only reduce by 1/2 125.00 and the rest after received my money??  Im a simple person with big problem trying to get through it but didnt need another LIE raiseing my hopes playing on my needs and emotions!!! Bad things happen to good people thats what they say but why doesnt good things happen to good people. I have lost all hope for good things or maybe Im just a bad person???? God will have to decide????????????????? What should I do and can we stop these people and how??

I received a call today from someone posing to be with the United States Federal Government.  The girl was from a foreign nation located in India.  She instructed me that since I was a law abiding citizen I was to receive a "Loyal Citizen Grant" in the amount of $7,000.  She asked how I wanted to receive the money and gave me three choices, Checking Account, Debit Card, or Cash.  I choose cash and was instructed to call 1-202-470-3455 and give a confirmation grant approval ID # ZR223.  I figured this was a scam, and I had nothing to lose since I had not given any personal information to the caller.  So, I called the number and was informed I needed to send them $250.00 before they would release my $7,0000 grant.  When Irepeated back to caller what she stated "So, I need to send you $250 before you can release my $7,000 is that correct?" She said yes, and I said I hope you have a blessed day and goodbye!

Ok, so I just received a call from saying I was chosen to receive $7000 in grant money from the U.S. Government Grant - dept of treasury. I knew right away this wasnt right. It was a man with a heavy overseas accent. He said I can receive this money in 1 of 3 ways - checking acct, visa acct, or western union. Of course I wasn't giving my checking or visa acct numbers so I said ok, I'll do western union. He then said, after we hang up you need to call (202) 470-3455 to confirm your grant confirmation number which is NG124 and they will transfer the funds to western union. I said ok sure. But I never called the number. Instead, I googled the number and found this thread with all of you confirming it's a scam. Hey, if it sounds too good to be true... It is!

I just received a # 970-002 ( that's how it appeared on my phone) stating I have won $7,000.00 US GOVERNMENT GRANT. She had a heavy accent and told me the same thing as all the other post, I have three ways to receive it. My checking account, by Visa, or by cash. I told  her I did not have a checking account nor do I have any VISA CARDS ( I really do but I wasn't about to give it  to her over the phone) she then stated so u want to receive it as cash ,I said sure then she said I would have to call 1-(202)-470-3455, I knew something wasn't right but thought what the heck lets call and see what they say?  Well as u can guess no one answered the phone.
If any of my brother or sisters and neighboring friends of the USA GET THIS # showing up on your phone please do not answer or answer and hang up immediately as this is a big fat juicy scam of low life's trying to get your bank account and /or Visa info so they can steal from us.

Just recieved a call on my cell phone.  This number 970-002 came up when I caller called.  I spoken to caller,
" he claimed that I was selected to recieved 7,000 in grant money.  He asked, me to called this 202-470-3455 and gave me a comfirmation # Ja02 for verification purpose. He asked, " How do you want to recieve the grant money?  My option was credit card, debit, checking account.  I asked can I  recieved a check and that was not an option.  I recieved three telephone calls today and everytime I would ask a question they  hung up.  It sound like scam.  He statement the grant is from the Federal Government. I did not call the number back.

The government does not call you to give you free money! Scammers! Besides, if it's free, why do you have to send them money?

i goy a call form this no. today  7000.00 and they ask me to seed 250.00 to them and i will get the cash sent to me in wusp shop and they will be on the phone in telll i get the money i call the us gov. and they said that is was a scam.

just received same call from same #. when I opted for "cash" & told her I dont give personal information to people I dont know and this sounded like a scam she raised her voice and said" WHO TOLD YOU THIS IS A SCAM? WE ARE THE FEDERAL GOV'T TRYING TO GIVE YOU A FREE GRANT" when I asked her what's the name of her company to verify it, she hung up.

My call originally came from 970002 and I was asked to call 202-470-3455 with my confirmation #. This is clearly a scam. The caller said she was with the US Government Grant Office offering me $7,000.

I RECIEVED THIS CALL THAT I HAD BEEN RANDOMLY SELECTED FOR A 7000 DOLLAR GRANT. THEY GAVE ME A COMFIRMATION NUMBER AND A ADDRESS. mY CONFIRMATION CODE WAS FB101 AND THE ADRESS IS 200 INDEPENDENT AVE. WASHINGTON D.C THE NUMBER THEY TOLD ME TO CALL IS 202-470-3455. WHEN I CALLED THE NUMBER THE LADY TOLD ME THAT IN ORDER TO RECIEVE THE MONEY VIA WESTERN UNION I WOULD HAVE TO PAY 250 DOLLARS. WHEN I STATED IT WAS A SCAM SHE HUNG UP OIN ME. VERIFYING THAT IT WAS A SCAM.

I don't know, but I would call your local police station! Maybe they could help you get in touch with the FBI once they realize what is going on. Kidnapping is a serious offense, be it your *mom*, your spouse, your children... whomever! But do not delay!

This is a scam. You send them money, they will disappear on you. There is no $7,000 grant.

This was the number I was to call to validate my $7000.00 dollar grant. I was also given the validation code of RM555. It was and Asian Indian Male (slightly confused) calling from 191-646-7703 whho reported this to me.

I recieve a call from the number above and was told i was going to recieve 7000.00 in goverment loan aqnd told to send western union 248.00 one time fee to recieve the 7000.00.

Recieved call today stating i was to recieve $7000.00 in government loan. I was given a confirmation number and instructions to call this number with that code.
