I recieved this in th he mail today, I'm extremely skeptical, looking a little further, I looked into other people's reviews and it sounds like a scam. I looked at their website and read this portion under their *disclaimer* section.
"Training Department LLC provides training required by the U.S. DOT but is not a part of the U.S Department of Transportation nor is it a government agency."

You all will just be thrilled to know that you can prevail over unsolicited faxes through a little known statute - The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Here's how: http://www.fcc.gov/guides/fax-advertising.
Among the options is to file a complaint with the FCC (which does not preclude the other options), local or state consumer protection office or your state Attorney General?s office. The FCC web gives all the steps.
The BEST option of all, the coup de grace: You can also bring a private suit against the violator in an appropriate court of your state. Through a private suit, you can either recover the actual monetary loss that resulted from the TCPA violation, or receive up to $500 in damages for EACH violation, whichever is greater. The court may TRIPLE the damages for EACH violation if it finds that the defendant willingly or knowingly committed the violation. Filing a complaint with the FCC does not prevent you from also bringing a suit in state court. Now that's what I'm talking about! So, hit 'em in the purse and there will be peace in the valley, or fax machines, so to speak.

After so many posters saying it's a scam, you all of a sudden come on here saying it's legit. Gee...wonder who to believe?! (Not you)

These guys were persistent, but it turned out that our supervisors did need the training. We put one guy through it at first, to see if it was legitimate, and it was. There are other companies out there to get it from, though, and you can read more about the requirement here: http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/rules-regulations/ad ... spx?reg=382.603
I believe they even have a place on their site where you can get removed from their spam list... yep, here it is: http://supervisorcompliance.org/dncsite.asp
Tom 2012-12-15 20:32:41 Unknown
Got contacted a few times too. Looked into it, and found the DOT page for the requirement: http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/rules-regulations/ad ... spx?reg=382.603
I'm owner-operator, so it doesn't apply, but looks some people do need it. Go here to get off the contact list: http://supervisorcompliance.org/dncsite.asp

We got 2 notices that we had to take drug and alcohol training. I called the above number and connected to a loop which repeated the same instructions over and over. I have been trying to find out if this is a legitimate department of DOT. Who are these people?
Bruce 2012-07-11 16:48:26 Unknown
It is a scam. DO NOT give them your money!
Pat Reece 2012-06-22 23:26:20 Unknown

It is a scam. These scumbags are trying to steal your money because they can't find legitimate work. Throw their garbage in the trash.

By way of update, after calling the "removal" number at the bottom, I just got a "Final Compliance Notice" in the mail. So removing yourself from their fax list just seems to add you to their mailing list. At least this will be more costly to them to continue to harass me.
Leon 2012-03-23 14:31:09 Unknown
I got the same letter.
I am single owner/operator.
I am not taking their course.

Our company reported them to the BBB in Delaware. The company never responded to the complaint. They have 8 reports at BBB and have not responded to any of them. They have an F rating there. More people should take the time to complain there.
I wish the BBB in Delaware would put a stop to them. We are CONTINUING to receive faxes about this and now they have our email address. NOT GOOD!
@Charlie D. Robinson: If I were you, I'd change my credit card number. That is not legal for them to do that. You should report it to the BBB in Delaware.

Just received another final compliance notice from Supervisor Compliance, makes about 8 so far. Receive most via fax but have received a few via email. Sent one received couple weeks ago to our insurance agent, who also handles issues regarding DOT requirements and training. He said it is a FRAUD, SCAM whatever you want to call it. DO NOT RESPOND & PLEASE DON'T SEND THEM ONE BLAME PENNY. Our agent tried calling the number but couldn't get anyone to answer. It's amazing at what low levels these parasites will go to to try and take someone else's money! Why can't they get them a REAL job like the rest of us to make their living instead of taking money from hard working, honest individuals. Just someone else expecting somebody to pay their way, thinking everyone owes them something - bull.

I keep getting these as well; I think I'm on my seventh "Final Compliance Notice" now. Not sure what their definition of "FINAL" is. I am trying the "removal" phone number at the bottom today. If that doesn't work, I'll file with the FCC. I understand that everyone says not to dial the number or it confirms a valid fax number, but I believe the fact that their faxes send successfully and I keep receiving these is evidence that they don't need my phone call to confirm anything. I just figure the FCC would want to know that the advertisers removal instructions are bogus or not. If it works, then all is well. If I continue to receive message, or if they increase, then I have more ammo for the FCC.

I have already opted out of this fax one time. They are now using another number. We have an unlisted number and I am going to report them AGAIN!!

We received our second compliance notice for Drug and Alcohol Awareness Training. It lists the regulation that mentions having an employee with one hour of training. It stressed that we "Do not risk FAILING A D.O.T. AUDIT because of non-compliance." They also mention that they have been authorized to increase the cost of the online training from $99 to $149. It was signed by someone but no printed name appears. They are the Supervisor Compliance Training Department, 1201 N. Orange St. Suite 7138 Wilmington, De 19801

This is a total scam, do not fall for it. Your BBB can tell you that. These people do have a legit web site, but still totaly scammers. They have had 6 reports on them to the BBB, and on BBB
web site they have an F rating. If you really need to know for yourself that this is a scam then contact your Federal Dept. Of Transportation 1-800-333-4636 Also if you try to sign up to take the class instead of doing it on the computer, they will tell you unless you can get atleast 25 people to attend then they can't come to your town

We keep getting these faxes from "Supervisor Compliance Training Dept." from Wilmington DE with a DC fax number despite calling their "remove" list at least 2 times. This is a scam, their "office" is basically a drop box.
