I answer and they just hang up, very annoying.

call all the time.. the caller ID says "service message" I don't answer and they don't leave a message.

just called our 2 person clinical office, hung up a few seconds after my call answer script, CID said Service Message

Came up under number, no name or warning it was a Political Call. Luckily was at work and didnt answer and from the looks of what is noted above..thank GOD! They really dont want to get in it with me, they'd be sorry. :)

they call to see who really lives there, then sell the info to collection agencies

i ran into my home to get the telephone before the caller hung up to find a recorded message asking me to take a 2 minute poll.  I am sick of this crap especially when the poll questions have double meanings so If I choose not to answer a question then my answer is recorded as no opinion or similar and then all of the no opinion calls are made to sound like they are not for or not against the issue at hand and by doing so the pollsters are twisting my answers around to suit there agenda.  I tried calling the number back to learn if this crap is paid for with my tax money and there is no answer.  At this point in February 2009 I am thinking we would be much better off without a federal government.  Maybe if we fired congress and started with all new fresh faces that might also be effective.  The fact that this call originates in Washington DC makes me wonder if our newest leader is testing public opinion to see what he can shove down our throats.  Sincerely, Irritated tax payor

I received this phone call today and I answered and they hung up. It came up on my caller ID as Washington DC. I called them back and an automated voice said that I was called for Governmental Purposes.

came up as political call.  to keep from hearing the phone ring til the answering service picked up, i just lifted the receiver and replaced it.  i hope a person was on the other end but probably a robo call.  i will be so glad when this election is over.

I am getting sick of these political yahoo's calling my cell phone number! I am so glad that Nov 4th is coming soon, I already voted by mail in ballot, so they can STOP now! This was regarding an amendment that I don't agree with anyway!

Caller ID said POLITICAL CALL. I didn't pick up, but appreciate that they were upfront about it. :)

A recording @ my work!! Campaign against John Porter.  If I get another one of these calls I'm going to come outta my skin, especially at work!  What a way to get a message across . . . what was the recorded message about again?? ;-)

A recorded voice said this is the world's shortest poll, and asked if the election were held today, would we vote for McCain or Obama.  We responded and the call ended without comment.  Neither the caller nor the Caller ID identified the calling organization.

This call showed up on Caller ID as "Political Call," but left no message.
