Recognized it as a tele-marketing type caller ID. Picked up and then hung up the receiver while the phone was still ringing.

called work number , Id stated service message, Recorded message about supposed GRANTS available for my business. Hung up hate these calls. Would never do business with any that used them.

Caller ID showed "Carter 4 Senate". I did not even pick up receiver

I get this number frequently. Credit card scam. I just don't answer it anymore.

got a call from that number as well.  if i had a nickel for every post i saw about this number, i would answer the call graciously and bore them with my life story or tell the person on the line how i can fix their credit card debt, because you know they have it.

202-495-7110 is a robo-caller service. Everything from political candidates to junk sales calls. They have only a handful of actual live employees. They load info into a computer & it just dials away. Sure, it tells you "if you do not want any more calls, press 1"...but it's a just a wish. This outfit disregards state & national do not call lists since their standard line is "we got your number from another source/a ballot/sweepstakes offer, etc. Either ignore the calls (they stop after about 5 runs) or just hold the line til a monkey comes on & ask him/her what they're wearing & talk vaguely dirty (avoiding profanity). Otherwise, report time, date, and caller id # to the Federal Trade Commission and/or the agency for your state's do not call list.

i called back the california republican party who called me using this return number auto call service and reamed them for 10 minutes for using robo-dialers... "you are completely pathetic..."  "this is what you need to do to win elections?"  "if you call me again, i'll kill you.." etc...

you don't deal with criminals by applying the law... you give them a taste of their own medicine or they will never stop.
