Received a phone call from (202) 470-0769 stating that I can get a whopping FREE $7000 from the government.  Asked for my debit card information to transfer the money in 45 minutes but asked me to call the number back (which I didn't).  I provided an OLD PRE-PAID debit card # that they cannot do anything with!  These folks are preying on those of us who are struggling in this economy and they should be put to death for that!

If you're wondering how they get your number when you guard it closely, simple: they methodically go through every possible four digit number sequence after they establish the first three numbers.  The spammers usually leave the area codes alone that were created purely for wireless phone traffic because the bad PR would sink them.  But I have a wireless phone that is on the same 201 area code that North Jersey operates on and the spam calls have been increasing. They change their number too often to effectively block.  It seems helpless to do anything but screen, screen, screen!

Esta Sol has just popped up on my radar.  Checking my missed calls indicates they are calling from multiple numbers.  I'm on two Do Not Call lists, state and national.  I'm a shift worker and have reported callers to the state Public Service Commissioner's office and have gotten excellent results.

I've asked them to remove my number from their calling list many times.  It works for a few months, but after that, they are back to calling you on a regular basis again.

And I tried to stop them from calling once, by doing the stupid survey, but no, they do not send you the free cruise tickets. It is a scam. Report them to the FCC.

I have caller ID at work and I am forever getting calls from ESTA SOL. At first, the first thing I would hear was a low-pitched wail which I figured out was not in fact something wrong but the sound of a ship's horn! Now, when I see either the number you posted or ESTA SOL on my caller ID, I just disconnect!

You can add the number (402) 982-0690 to the list.  I have caller ID and have an unlisted number, so if I don't recognize the number or if it's "Out of area" I don't answer.  Contrary to the politically correct FCC's ruling, my phone is for my use and NOT for the use of some dippy company trying to sell me something I don't want.

Getting calls from same company - Esta Sol - but from area code 402.  I suggest you call this number - 402-982-0692.  Same company and press option 1. You have to call this number from which you are receiving these calls.  This will remove you from their calling list.

No messages on answering machine.

THE PHONE NUMBER ON CALLER ID IS:  402-982-0507.

OBVIOUSLY, ESTA SOL IS A SPOOFED ID because anyone can copy it, and one can enter it in the
Fax or IP phone and pose as ESTA SOL, impersonating company or a copycat telemarketer.
