Just received a phone call from a person with a Indian accent, from 202-506-9767 wanting to speak to my mother about a case pending against her.   He called himself  "Agent Jeff Edwards."  A person must be crazy if they think a child is going to turn their parents in so easily.   Thank you internet.

Got a call saying I owe from a loan I defaulted on in 2013. Says I need a federal attorney to resolve the matter and that I need to send 1056 in cash or I will have to go to court and pay up to 10000. I'm sick of this BS I get calls like this 2 or 3 times a year.

Yes. We received a call from the number. This is a scam. We called the police department to report them too. They said do not pay attention to this number. Be careful, do not give them your credit card number.

I just received a call in my classroom (direct call) from an India sounding female voice stating they are a fraud prevention and I have a court, something, could not understand, threatening that I must call back to (202) 506-9767 NFC?  

The message was threatening and abusive stating I must pay back..(can't understand).....court document filed.....injunction...etc.  I am not sure how our American Government is going to deal with these people harassing us.  I was harassed so, so much a few months ago (another number & male) that I became nervous every time the phone ran and my students were also affected.
These rude callers do not care that they are interrupting a classroom.  
my teaching instruction was interrupted and I was told there is not much WE (or the government) can do about this harassment.
So much for all the suppose advanced technology we have.

Legitimate process servers do not call to warn you, or to get money from you to stop the process.

told me that I was being investigated for a crime and it was my last time they were going to call and that I should not leave the country.

Received a call from this guy with the very same information. He asked me about my attorney or the tax fraud case will go to court. I immediately called Canada Revenue Agency to check if there is anything in my name.

CRA suggested that it is likely a fraud and asked to report to 18884958501.

Looks like a scam to get personal info by scaring people of tax fraud.

Same scenario basically. Message said he was calling from Fraud Protection with the U.S. Dept. Of Justice! Will be alerting the FTC! Unbelievable..

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Julius Graham contacted me as well a few moments ago I hung up on him and blocked him from calling my phone.

Received a call from a male saying that his name was Julius GRAHAM. Left message saying to contact them of there would be a criminal investigation regarding Canada Revenue Agency....Called from 519-800-8081 and 202-506-9767......

Called him to play along and he told me that he needed my lawyers infor and if I did not provide it he would call the local police and have me arrested....What a joke and what a tool.....

Hope someone can track these pieces of garbage down.....

Answered a phone call from an man who did not speak Engilsh very well, he told me that he was with the finical crime enforcement and that I was being charged with tax fraud and to have my lawyer call him back with in a few hours so they could talk about the bail bond proceedings as he was contacting local authorities to come and arrest me.
I notified the police in my area.

Just came home to hear a message from a very 'Indian' sounding man who had a hard time with English stating he was from the Financial Crime Enforcer Network, and that I need to call them back at 202-506-9767. He ended his message with trying to alarm me by telling me not to leave the state, and there will be consequences if I don't call immediately.
