Im not only getting calls from this number, but when I block this number they call from many others numbers with different area codes.   Once i hang up on one line they go through the other lines on my account which include the phone lines of my children,  whom are minors!!!!!!  There has to be something I can do about this.  Get  An  Attorney?

Aha -- now I know who's calling, think I may pick up and give them a piece of my mind. Don't think this is a household they particularly want on their list!

So annoying. 3 nights in a row from this number - I have a brand new cell phone - only had it for a week! No one even knows my damn number! If they are calling from New York, I'm in Wisconsin - I don't really care who marries who, just stop using my minutes on my phone!!!! URGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I answered the call and its out of new jersey for Marriage. They want to know that you agree with them that marriage should only be between a man and a woman. AND this is actually paid for.
Well I dont agree with them, but what I am sure we CAN all agree on is that people need homes in new orleans, men and woman are dying in IRAQ, children are starving or dont have health insurance(my children included) and they are wasting money being concerned about who is going home with whom at the end of the night.
Let me just say, as long as you go home with whom you want to go home with at night. Whomever I or anyone else goes home is NOT YOUR BUSINESS!!! and no Im not GAY, but I dont care about anyone else who is. Let people live their lives and if you dont want to be around gay people than DONT. But keep your opinions to yourself. Take care of the things we all should be taking care of.
If everyone lived their own lives and stops worrying about how other people are living theirs and just helping those that need help the whole world would be a better place.

I can't remember, but do non-profits qualify at being blocked by the Do Not Call registry?  We have been registered for a while now.  I know that political calls aren't blocked.

Have called three times over that past few days. I don't answer.  We are also on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

These people have called me about 3 times daily for the last few weeks. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, why are they allowed to call you still? This is bull and when you try to call back to speak to a human, the phone rings and then a busy signal. Freakin *ssholes.....I swear to God if they call again I am going to shove my phone up their *ss.

I rec'd. a call from the above # at 1:20pm and happened to be on the phone(with the handsome, urbane, intelligent man of my dreams) when it came in.  

I had my tv on & the calling # flashes on the screen. Did a google search & found this site.

Correction to the phone number

I didnt answer the phone, but the message that was left, twice today, was this: This is Brian Brown from the National Organization for Marriage with a brief survey  Are you registered vote vote in NY? (pause, pause)  Then it says this is a public survey-we may call back later and hangs up.
I never answer if I dont recognize the number on the caller i.d...so they can call all they want-I love seeing them waste their time!!!!

Just got this too:

It's aggrevating to get these. I'm finally retired and hanging out at home only to get these harrassing calls.

I wish that there was something that could be done to keep this kind of thing from happening.  If I want to talk to you, I will give you my no. or ASK if its ok to call.  this is just really poor manners.

I am on the Do Not Call Registry - how do I get these people to STOP leaving messages!  They call and leave messages at least 6 times a week, sometimes twice a day.

I have been receiving 2 to 3 calls a day from this number - it doesn't make sense.  Between this number 202 540 5324 and the endless credit card calls, I think the "do not call list" is a farce.

I looked up the organization (National Organization for Marriage), called and spoke with "Patrick" who answered the phone. He was very nice and accommodating, assured me my phone number would be taken off the list, said they were having some problems with the company they use to call.  That was in response to the face I told him, since I requested to be removed, I had been receiving 3x as many calls, but he assured me I would be taken off. We will see

This research/survey firm calls me EVERY SINGLE DAY, sometimes more than once a day, and leaves a recorded message about a "marriage survey." I am on the DO NOT CALL list, but apparently it makes no difference as I am harrased constantly by this company and need it to STOP.

I am getting automated calls EVERY DAY from this phone number. It continues to be maddening.  I have registered with "Do Not Call" in NYS but somehow these people whoever they are have gotten past the rules.  It asks if I am registered to vote and then says it will call back.

OMG I hope they do call when I'm home as I've missed them twice because, as a gay man, they will have a very interesting phone call.

I get this call everyday from Free Research 202-540-5124.  The last time there was a message left on my answering machine saying, "This is Mike Huckabee, bla bla, bla.  I erased the call.  Crazy people.

As I understand it, the do not call list is to block marketing calls. It will not block calls from people or organizations that you give your number to. When you fill out forms etc, your number can then be passed on and sold. Don't give out your number and you won't get any calls. Sound ridiculous? Tell me about it.

I've gotten calls from this number for the past few days - so aggravating!
