A friend received 2 calls from 1-202-552-1121. He asked me to research it because of the inappropriate questions concerning one's sexual preferences and smoking. I called the number and found that it belongs to a company called Hypotenuse Inc. It is the parent company of SurveyUSA and Crisis.Call.
I could not find who the actual client was who was involved in the MA Health BDS survey.

The recording starting this automated survey identified the sponsor as the Massachusetts Association of Health Boards. Questions were asked about smoking, then got stranger, asking whether I thought gay people smoked more or less than straight people, and whether I was gay or straight, and my gender. I hung up at that point. This is really bizarre.

Same thing appeared on my caller id. Living in Mass and working the the state on healthcare I thought it odd that the number had a Washington DC area code. Interesting that others have gotten this as well

The website for the Massachusetts Association of Health Boards states that they are aware of this and that they are not conducting a telephone survey. They are following up with the FCC and the Massachusetts Attorney General. This call asks for multiple choice questions regarding your opinions about smoking. During this call the survey asks if you are male or female, your nationality, and your age.

"Mass Health BDS" is on Caller ID. Did a search but could not find the company behind this.
