Missed call and unknown details showed up on my menu screen

Strange, I wasn't interested in the book anyhow. With looking up my favorite places online, it makes this "book" obsolete, both at work and home.

Contrary to popular Misconception, Pre recorded messages ARE allowed to be left on machines and V/M. The FTC had not made a decision on TRS ammendment.

"Another cited reason for rejecting the proposal is that the comments showed that neither consumers nor industry support safeguards in the proposed amendment designed to ensure that consumers who receive calls delivering a recorded message could assert a company-specific do not call request as easily as they could when they receive calls from an in-person sales representative." per the FTC website.

Therefore, it's legal to leave prerecorded messages on machines and V/M. I just don't like the practice.

just had the same call (11-12-2008, 6:22PM MST). We are on Colorado do not call. I do believe that this is a violation. I dont use the damn book either. We get like 10+ various books each year, usually delivered by vagrants that look more like they are casing houses to return to later for mor unscrupulous purposes. Each and every one of them goes straight to the recycling bin.

Recording asking if we got our yellow book. We did not but I did not pick up the phone; just left it on my machine.

We've been getting repeated phone calls from this number, usually about 3am, once or twice a week.  When we answer, there's no one on the other end. How do we get them to stop doing this??

left message on machine saying call is for such and such person and if we were not, then hang up and don't listen to rest of message then machine hangs up.

all they said was yellow pages

missed call number blocked

Recorded message asking if we had received our latest copy of their telephone directory and if we haven't to call some number but I hung up before I heard the number.

Left a recorded message of which the first part was missing,  Provided an 899 phone number to call to talk to a representative from Yellowbook if you wanted to get additional copies of their directory or place advertising in their directories.
