She said she was with US customs. It was on my answering machine and she left me a message to call her back. I called back and I did not even get a answering machine. I called the number back the next day because I was curious. I got a message this time and left a message that I have a good friend that is a border patrol agent and he would be contacting her. I have not yet herd back from her. My friend said it was a scam.

This woman called from this number - stating she works at US Customs and had found an envelope that was 4months old that I had won 795,000 from publishers clearing house. The address she had on file was a 5year old address. She said she had verified funds and it was real via BofA. I started to press her and she wouldn't give me a straight answer. I asked her for US Customs 800# to verify her and she said she didn't have it in front of her. I hung up on her. TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All 202-558-4XXX phone numbers are not currently assigned which means the scammers are spoofing 202-558-4568 and could be calling from anywhere. You may file complaints with the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate, but do not expect any agency to act on your report. They will chase big scammers down but small-time scammers are probably safe from prosecution. You have my sympathy.

Believed this scam and lost over $7K. I didn't have internet access to research. A friend is sending this for me to let others know. This is Elder Abuse and needs to be reported to someone who can stop them. There must be a government agency that can monitor this number and 202-558-4568 and set up a sting. After Jeff Davidon and Ed Bruce had me send all the money I had through Western Union then the call from the fake Federal Trade Commision Bruce Johnson badge V24713 saying they monitor real sweepstake winners, for these con artists. That is how they got my number. To change my phone number and have no more contact with them. That I really did win and the sweepstakes will show up at my house next week. Because I'm eldery, do not have the internet to research, I beleived them and now lost all my money in the world. Can anyone help with an agency to can take them to court?

caller insists we won $350,000 from Publishers Clearing House. They state they are part of the Federal Trade Commission. They hang up when you ask them questions. They are a bother and pray on the uninformed.
