Annoying calls on my cell phone.  Is there a way to block them?

Every other day i got a call from this number. told me I won vacation package. Just ask them what did i fill out in ballot am I married or not and you will get to know they are scamers.
               This is Our phone companys they are selling our personal info to them to make little money.

Called from this number @11.30am July 31 - no message left on my cell

July 31. No one at other end when I picked up. I usually don't answer.

Funny I just got a call from this # but I didn't answer it instead I just searched and was sent to this site.  I guess it was good I didn't answer it.
I usually try not to answer phone calls with numbers totally unknown, if its important they can always leave a message.

Recieved a call from this number yesterday.  I answered it but the person on the other end hung up.  Five minutes later my husband received a call on his cell phone from the same number....no answer.

i got the same call on my cell this morning.  kept ringing.  i simply hangup as i don't want it to go to my voice mail.

got one from this # 8 pm july 22 in toronto. i said hello and they hung up. maybe the guy is just trying to make his quota and dialling then hanging up, pumping up his call numbers (unless they check call length)/ maybe he's scamming his bosses - that would be sweet !

I got a call and they asked me if i was Canadian Citizen and i won a prize for vacation.
Then next question "Me and My Spouse are Canadian Citizen and not south Asian" i was like i am south asian and they just hung up. Haha funny calls

I got the same call ..never answered but i dont live in Toronto but have there cell number. These days dont answer anyone you dont know

I just received a call from this number.  I think every time they call and we answer, they get paid and we get charged by our phone service company.  Not sure if this is an act on the part of the phone companies to increase their revenues, but I think we should ignore these calls.  If they are important enough, the caller would leave a message.  Also, these numbers never call landlines (as far as I know), only cell phones.

Woke me up at 8:20 am. today - Sunday!!  No one on the line.

July 20, 1pm, It called and no one talked.

The same caller abused in Hindi Language and hanged up instantly. Better not to attend unknown numbers. Can someone advice how and where to lodge complaint..

I cannot believe they will have a wake up call at 8:30 am during weekend, when he asked How are you doing? I just said BAD because I got a call at 8:30 am, that's non sense to call other that early on weekend. I told him to remove my name and don't call me anymore.

If they call to my cell phone I don't pick it up. If they call on my landline and it happens I pick it up, I let them talk, and i don't talk at all: Complete silence on my side. In the end they close and don't call for a while, but they repeat the call after some 2 days.

How can I ignore it if every day they bother me, and my phone works with top up card. I doubt on telus my phone company giving them numbers.

Just got the same - I'm a 905 number and I'm near Toronto Canada.  I never fill out forms or give people my numbers.  I have so many of these calls half the time I think Rogers has sold my number...

Similar type call to my cell number (in 416 area, Toronto) saying that I entered a ballot at some mall or grocery store.  I never enter these contests and certainly never leave my cell number with anyone.  SCAMMERS/FRAUDSTERS!!!

Got calls Monday @ 6:14 pm and Thursday @ 12:56 pm on my cell. Didn't answer them because I was working. Looks like it takes 3 days to churn their call list.

I'm in Toronto, too. Just got a call from this number. Again very thick Indian accent saying I won a trip, because I filled out a ballot while shopping at super markets **such as** Walmart, Zellers, ... LOL, I just think the "such as" part is super funny, because they don't even know which store they should pick to scam people. So I told him I didn't enter any contest, and they must have got the wrong number. He said my number did come up in the draw last month, so maybe someone else in my family such as my husband entered the contest. I told him I don't think so. They he said ok, bye.

Just got a phone call from these guys at 2:56 pm. I'm in Toronto. My phone showed this call as unknown and no location was specified. i did not pick up.

Just got a call from this number. Did not answer. They did not leave a voicemail either. Good to know they were just scammers. Thank god for sites like this.

Got a call here in Toronto as my 416 number.  Said he was a manager of some company "SL"? and said I filled out something at Shoppers Drug Mart and won a free gift.  I told him nothing in life is free and then hung up.

Yeah these fu**ers are definitely phishing for information. I wish I had stuck around on the line and messed with him, but that would cost some money... Should have had him call me back on my skype and led him on for a bit.

I got the same phone call too. He also had a very thick indian accent and said that I must have forgotten that I filled out ballot to enter the contest back around Easter. He said that a travel agency from Woodbrige. Would be contacting me but when I aked for their phone number and address he said I wouldn't need it.  I knew its a scam because he said that the price was for two and that I had filled that I was married or lived with a common law which is wrong. But when I clarified that he said to win the contes they need to be married or live together otogether. So who knows what kind of scam they r up to. He wanted to pass the gift to my parents or someone else but that's when I hung up and said that I was busy
