Called around 12:50 PM.  They only let it ring 3 times.  CID said:  "Washington, DC, and the phone number".  I'm going to add this number to my blocked call list.

Charities and political organizations are exempt from Do Not Call List along with anyone with whom you have ever done any kind of business.

The DO NOT CALL LIST is a waste of time, as far as I'm concerned-worthless...My phone will block up to 30 numbers, which works fairly well. But the computer callers have ways of getting around it. But NO MO ROBO works for about 85 percent of the time. I have a panasonic phone with call blocker, both together will get about 95 percent of calls..Just got a call from this 202 558 4964 and BAM! Rings once and disconnects the call. I've had calls from this number before, but they should be congratulated for being the FIRST call to be blocked by nomorobo! No I do not work for them, just saw it on the local news and decided to try it,, It is free for private but they do charge for business.....So far so good, hope this helps!

I get calls all the time from so called Google voice mail,,,whenever I call it back never get an answer..Don't really even know what it is so, I BLOCK EM....!

Phone rang with this number on the caller id and "unknown name".  Did not answer.  Caller did not leave a message.

Looks  like another middleman doing the begging on behalf of charities, etc.  In other words this is very likely a scammer that will gladly keep all your donations for themselves.

Answering these calls will only verify to them there is a living, breathing  person at the other end - They'll in turn sell your name to someone else...

Where are these people getting their information??!! I just got a call from this number asking for a name that obviously is foreign and is sort of close to my last name but isn't even close to my first name. Are they just taking a stab in the dark???!!! I have decided to tart answering these calls because it's the only way to get off their inaccurate list.

Called from 202 558 4964 I answered in Spanish but "was not" whom the caller expected. So.. He hung up his phone.
When I blocked my number from being identified and called this number  they immediately disconnected. without answering my call. It was an obvious "scam fraud" call from 202 558 4964. If they call you they already have your name, most probably from a list they purchased.  Perhaps from a survey you may have responded to via an incoming call in the past.

I don't want calls from this number.  No voice mails, just solicitation.

They're back after a holiday hiatus.  Three rings, hang up no message.  Fine, we ignore "unknown" and calls from numbers without I.D. If we don't recognize the number, the caller is S.O.L. And that includes robo calls that leave half a message on the machine. Hope these dim watts all work on commission and don't make their quota number of contacts. Maybe it will be a learning experience for them.

Received call about 11:30 AM  PST.  From MDS, a fund-raising organization.  This time they want money for  something called Judicial Watch.  He started his spiel.  Then the phone got cut off.  Too bad, I was going to wind him up a little.

Sadly, 'charitable' and 'polotical' organizations are exempt from the do - not call rules. I've been on do-not-call for years and I get 5-10 of these a day. also get "surveys". Damned annoying!

Charities are an exception on the DNC lists, unfortunately.  I give primarily to the Breast Cancer Society. When the time came for my husband to dedicate funds to charities through his work, I asked him to include this charity.  This was after I got 4 calls before noon, recognized the number.  They are now blocked on my phone.

MDS is a call service for several political and charitable organizations. You can call the number back, listen to the recording, and then have your number removed if you don't want to be contacted by them anymore.  Technically, they just pass your number to another organization, and the cycle continues.  But at least this organization gives you the option to be removed from their calling list.  Since they also handle political calls, I removed our number.  We've had enough of that nonsense.
