Received a call from this number. When I answered they hung up.

They called twice. When I answered - no response and finally hung up. Caller ID only says it's a Washington DC number.

I just picked up when this number called, it was a representative from the Washington Post asking for subscriptions.

They keep calling.  I am leaving a message asking to be removed.  will post again if this doesn't work.

Who are these people?  They keep calling me.  Once or twice a day for over a week now.  Everytime I pick up, they hang up.  I consider this harasment.  Wish there was a way to stop them.

I just managed to get through.  The name of the company is Landmark something and they do everything from surveys to telemarketing to debt collection. I got their voicemail and the last option was to leave a message to be removed from their calling list.  We'll see if that worked.

I just called it and it says it is a non-working number.

3 calls today from that number, no voice message left.

Yes, they must be making the rounds today.  They've called my home number 3 times today, says "Unknown Number" in caller ID and they leave no voice mail message on the machine.  I did not answer.  Thanks for these messages; now i know not to answer. I'm unlisted, so don't know how they got the number if it's a commercial pitch of some kind.
