Same exact thing. Was told i was recieving a $7,000 grant. And to call the same number, but when I wouldn't give up any info they hung upon me.

The caller id was "private" but I won a grant too. He started fishing for bank an credit card information. I said, send me a check. Then he offered to wire it via Western Union. I was told to call (202) 559-7906. That number is a DC area code. I don't have time to play with him. There is no such thing as free money.

i jst got a called from a 970-002 number . telling me the same thing ! and to call a 202-558-0345!

Received a call from a blocked caller id and was told I was the receiptant of a US Government Grant for $7,000, and was to call 202-559-7906 Finance Dept and they would tell me why I was receiptant of this grant. Apparently for paying my bills on time and taxes, as well. Called the 202-559-7906 number an the guy tells me to wait at different times in the conversation. Then asks what credit card account I want the money transferred too or bank account. Told him to transfer the money to a AMEX Gift card and sent it to me. He then stated, "F you and get lost".
