It's definitely the ANA. They're trying to raise funds for the PAC. If you ask them to stop calling you, they will.

Yes, the ANA calls if you are a member trying to get donations/signatures. I have gotten calls from them before.

The number is to the American Nurses Association PAC. They are calling to get donations to support their political advocacy programs for Congress. They aren't allowed to use dues money to support the PAC, so they make calls. I know it can be annoying to get these kinds of calls but one of the main reasons I'm a member is because the work that the are doing is important for all nurses.

I was told that you can tell them if you want your donation to ONLY go to Republicans, Democrats or Independents which is great.

I'm an RN and a member of the ANA. It makes sense that it could be an ANA PAC looking for donations. This number called my cell phone at 18:35 (while I was busy working).

I received a call from this number, of course i'm not calling back, I did delete it from my phone immediately. Not sure what they are looking for. One thing is for sure;they are trying to fish for information!!! They did hang up as soon as picked up the phone, no message left.

I get at least 5 calls a day from this number.

Why all the hate on Obama? I'm a nurse and I preferred him over the other candidates.

I am tired of unsolicited calls from the ANA. No messages are ever left. So I have no idea why the calls.
I will not renew my membership.

They have sent me 3 text messages today from this number  with the following website listed www.federalemployees.us in it trying to get me to be a sales agent.  What makes them think they can text people without permission.

Yep, its the ANA PAC.  I joined ANA 2 months ago and have been getting that number too.  I never answer, but the ANA makes sense

Received calls from this number at least 4 times a day,  I have a lot of respect for the nursing profession, but this ANA organization may be run by the wrong group, especially if they want to be considered part of the  Obama free lunch bunch.

I'm a nurse too so it probably is ANA. They don't want to talk to me. I would probably demand a refund on my membership dues since they endorsed Obama again! Seriously?!?

This is the American Nurses Association.  Personally, I am glad I have two "primary" phone lines. . . one for my friends and the second (a majic jack low cost line) one for everyone else.  ANA keep calling.  I answered once, never again.

I was a member of ANA (not by choice and haven't paid dues since December) and this number calls me 2-3 times per day.  I am getting extremely annoyed!!!

Constant calls no message very harassing

I am an RN, Got this call at 6:50PM. Didn't answer, no message. IF this is a ANA political committee trying to raise money I think it is pretty annoying that they would be doing telephone soliciting to RN as a lot of us work rotating shifts, day, eve, night......Send me an e-mail or a letter, or leave a message and let me get back to you. Now I am just annoyed. Thanks for the info everyone :)

FYI--they can't use member dues to fund a Political Action Committee (PAC). They can only use voluntary contributions from members. (But I agree with other comments about calling on Saturday mornings).

Also got this call and I am in the ANA. I have a family member that had a scam from a 202 number recently, so I didn't answer.
I hate that many organization memberships or online purchases can't be made without a phone #. I only have a cell and I don't want telemarketing, etc calls  on it.

I'm a nurse & ANA member too.Got a call this am at 1040...if it is the ANA they should know better than to call nurses who may have worked the night before. UGH

It's the political action committe for the ANA.  I'm a member of the ANA and I'm a bit peeved that they're calling me.  I would've thought my membership fee was enough money for them!

yes it could be from the ANA they do call if you are a member of the ANA especially if you are a member through your union and face it election season is upon us

It ISNOT the American Nurses Assoc. trust me. I am a member and they donot solicit donations of any kind. This is a scam # so DONOT reply to it. They can get ALOT of info just by you returning their phone call so BE CAREFULL!!!!!!!

Received our first call from this # tonight.  We were on the 'do not call' list and changed our number for covenience reasons, now the solicitation calls have begun again!

I have gotten several calls from this number.  I even tried to return the call, does not go through.  Can I stop these calls?

I am pretty sure it's the American Nurse's Association asking for money.
