This guy offered to pay more than what I'm asking... and the delivery location is Ottawa (this is where he lives) He offers PayPal, Western Union... of course, I denied all of his requests.

He said the same thing to me! That it was for his cousin. Wish I'd played along.
What got me was how his number is from the UK but this idiot was looking at adds from BC Canada. He wanted my paypal info so bad.

Good Ole Frank just tried to get me asx well. But I decided to have fun with him. He said he is buying my stuff for his "cousin", I went along with his game for a few and then called him out on it. He told me I was sick and not to be trusted, and not to text him back. This guy is a classic example of a scam artist. Dont let them get away with your money and stuff.

Got a text at 7:20PM last night from this number. Asks "What is the condition?"
Interesting since the headline of my ad says "like new" so I was curious and Google'd the phone number.
Thanks to all who posted, it sure saved me some hassle in dealing with these type of people!

If only this douche-bag would work as hard at a real job instead of spending day and night blasting text messages to normal people trying to scam them, he could have a nice living and retire happy.
Sarah 2013-03-25 16:17:55 Unknown
Anyone knows who this is?
Nicole 2013-03-23 20:54:01 SMS
Looks like he's at it again! Just received a text message about an ad I have on a local site in Canada! Wanting the immediate purchase of my item. Ugh this is the sixth scam I have had since 9 o clock lastnight this is brutal! :(

Hello I would like to say that I also have my own and totally same experience with this idiot. His name now is not Frank Richard but only Frank Rick. So watch out!
Sheri 2012-05-26 17:53:44 Unknown
This "Frank Richard" said he posted to my Paypal, and I too have been "Phished" per actual pay pay account rep: They asked me to forward his emails to Spoof@paypal... -- This person keeps texting me asking when I am going to ship the ring. I have told the person repeatedly that they have been reported, that I suspected the transaction was suspicious and they are still insistent that I ship what they have purchased! This is my first experience like this and it is very disconcerting.

This guy is all scam. He just did the same thing to me...

This guy is an idiot. Thank you to those of you who have posted about his number, that helped me to know that it really was a scam. Remember boys and girls, if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

same thing just happened to me - the guy is a scam artist. He tried to tell me the funds were in my PayPayl account. I called PayPal and confirmed that his email message telling me the funds were in my account was fraudulent. I forwarded his message to spoof@paypal.com.

i got a text from this person too for an ad online about a ring im selling and he/she tried doing the same thing to me

This person by the name Mr. Frank Richard responded to a sales ad online and said he had paid through pay pal. Sent me an email that appeared to be from pay pal, but wasn't because the amount was not posted to my account. The email had a spelling error and I called pay pal and spoke to a representative, the representative told me that any payments including pending payments should always appear on my account. The amount never appeared on my account. The person was very firm and consistently asking me to mail the package to him then after he received it, the payment would post. Beware and please be ALERT.
