Got a call this morning from this number and they left a voice mail stating I had tax fraud issues and they were planning to get me arrested if I didn't call back soon.  I didn't call back but I will just to have fun with this stupid person.  This is a scam.

got call from 206 489 0116 by name shaun white from irs, i guess they r using cll center numbers to scam people

this guy is calling from different area codes and numbers beware mr Shean white white on to you

Got the same call twice today but from a different number. He apparently started using 202-888-3257

I got a call from this guy too. Telling me if I don't go and get cash and send it to them right away while they are on the phone they will take away my passport and send me back to my country. I think it's some kind of a scam. I asked my tax preparer he said 8 other ppl have received this call from these numbers and I shouldn't worry about it. They also told me that they will arrest me. I said u have to verify if this is true I asked him to tell me what my social security number is he got mad.

I am going to call the IRS and report these sons of bi****s for sure.

I receive a call from officer shaun white on 9/11.. what a sick joke this person is playing... on people emotion..

The same Sean White from 202-600-4549 called and left me a threatening voicemail today. I did not pick up since I did not recognize the number. In fact I am planning to report him to the local police to see if they can do something. This is utterly ridiculous and beyond belief.

I just back from vacation and had the same message about this is the IRS, officer Shawn White....and the matter is time sensitive.  The IRS does not call you.  All communication is written and documented.  THIS IS A PRANKSTER.  DO NOT CALL THEM BACK.........Lowlife thiefs.

received a call today too with the same automated voice service but today i didn't responded and put thi number in my call rejection list.One more thing please delete your any kind of information from your greeting message(if u have any) since they pulled up my name from my greeting voice message only.

I just got a call and First he told you owe some tax money,We sent some notice you didnt responded..I asked which address he told that address..He asked do you have lawyer  ..I said no..he told this call is recorded I need some information.When I asked who you are He hung the call..
Fun part is he told my name wrong :)...It seems this guys are fake..Is there any where I can complaint about this ?

It is a scam. Was called by an indian sounding guys who masks the accent well #202-600-4549. Very authoritative office Sean White!  told me it is absolutely time-sensitive to call him back regarding money I owe $2536 to IRS from 2012.  I had to buy coupons green.money.pak withing an hour and he is going to call back with immigration on line!  Thank you for your posts, I did a quick search and called them back telling them I phoned local authorities about a scam.

They told me the same thing. I couldn't understand anything they said. He wasn't even American. So he read me everything said he was sending out the cops. So I got dressed and was waiting. I work overnight so am sleeping fully dressed.

Got a call today told me I had a warrant out for my arrest. Wont have any bail till I pay off 1600 dollars. Never been in trouble so I got dressed to sleep in clothes cause they told me they were sending the cops. Don't ever call back. They didn't ask me for any money yet.

I too got a call today and reported it when the 911 officer got to my place.They said they will track it down .

I got a call from the same number today, the person was stating that he is an officer from IRS and my name is on "the list" and after IRS did AN audit, they found that I am liable for tax from 2010-2012. He told me not to interrupt him while he read an affidavit. But I could not understand what he was reading to me and he hung up the phone on me.. This was basically what he read to me......

Based on a statutory audit done on year 2010-2012, IRS found that I have an underpaid amount of $3400 and IRS found me not innocent of negligence and willfully intent to defraud IRS??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I interrupted him and told him I beg your pardon and he hung up the phone. I called nearly 30 times, the line was busy. Scared the hell out of me.

Had gotten the same call and called them back. They try to hide the accent really well but if your not sure then start asking questions. They will get flustered to the point that you can hear their accent.

Report them to the IRS it is still an active number. They can send a ping to it location. They will be caught if enough people report them.

Got a call from this number. When I called back he said they were filing criminal proceeding against me if I did not pay i would be deported. When my husband called back they read out the same document. They will not take a debit card they say. They want cash the same day if you want to prevent a criminal case being filed against you. Please do not call back if you get a message from this number. Report it to the IRS.

I also received 2 times call from this number and he said you owed some $6000.00 money because of you are doing money laundering and also hiding your salary while you filed tax return.He mentioned that we have sent you legal notice during month of April and since we didn't receive any action from your side. So, we are taking an action.
Than I told him, I never ever received any mail from IRS. So, please let me know my mailing address where you sent me notice. He replied totally WRONG MAILING ADDRESS.
Then he mentioned you are much smart enough and I understand that you wont pay $6000.00 rgtnow. So, we are going to close your bank accouvnt in 15-20 mint and he hang up the call.

I am sure its sounds like scam because of how does it possible that IRS give us wrong mailing address. I will contact to IRS tomorrow to get confirm !!

As Elspeth said above, its a scam! These people are doing extortion/scam!

You cannot be arrested for money owed, its a civil matter and at worst you would be served and taken to court! Do file reports with the FCC,FTC, FBI,State attorney general..

I called the guy back asking for his employee number telling him I was not getting the Money Green pack until I saw paper work stating I actually owed the money.. He said fine you don't want to trust me I will download your account tonight and there will be a warrant out for your arrest starting tomorrow!

it's a scam - the IRS does NOT call you when you owe tax - they mail you a letter asking you to pay.  The IRS also does NOT call and threaten people with freezing their assets - and they also would not expect you to pay first and then send you the paperwork stating why you owe this.  And you certainly do NOT pay a government entity like the IRS with a Green Money Pak card!

The IRS MAILS you a letter if you owe tax - they do NOT call you out of the blue!

He was saying the same BS, Officer Shawn White needed the payment over the phone right away or we're getting deported. What a SCAM. DONT FALL FOR IT...

Got a voice message.When called back the guy told thAT are calling from IRS and having some tax related issues.

I too got the same phone call twice today the first time I called back it was busy then when I got the second missed call I called back again and spoke with Office Sean White told me I owed 1,456.00 and I needed to go to 711 and get Green Money Pak for that amount and then call him back with the number on the back of the green money card then he would send me paperwork in the mail as to why I owed the money. He threatened to freeze my bank accounts and put a lean on my home..  The guy was hard to understand when I told him I wanted to talk to someone else he hung up on me.

Got a missed call in morning.I called back and the guy told he is from is IRS and i have some tax liabilities for the years i was out of the country.Knowing this he wants to do further investigation.Again got a call in the evening with automated service telling to call back.I called back but the number turns out to be busy.......is this a call really from IRS???????????
