Please be more careful...use common sense. If something is being given away for free like Government money...it is always a SCAM!. Never give your BIRTHDAY...your SOCIAL SECURITY , NAME and ADDRESS. This is the new id theft scam! These cons will take that info and create a bogus credit card in your name and then sell it to a high bidder in the black market.

The real U.S. government website for acquiring grants is www.grants.gov  (note the .gov).

Total Scam!...these vile lower than scum creatures need to be eradicated...praying on the old and desperate. Government grants never get approved this way. Also to receive a $50,000 grant you must qualify first..which is impossible unless you are a non-profit organization (with over 2 years of tax returns)
p.s. when ever a barely speaking English person call you...that's your first RED FLAG!

I got a similar message this morning. A guy who sounded Nigerian, said I could get $50,000 in grant money, and started to ask for my checking account number.  I wouldn't give him my account number, as it's obvious it's just another Nigerian scam. Sooner then later, they will tell me I need to send "a fee". If it was the government, they could and would send ME a check, or send funds to a  school I wanted to go to. EVERYONE remember-if it SOUNDS too good to be true. IT IS, These people are just scum scam artists.

Non-profit Organization
got a call from that number. told them i would call the bbb to confirm or see if they had complaints. they were very leary of me doing this or trying to call any government department to confirm they are legit. they transferred me to their supervisor alex travis, yeah right thats not his name. just like the guy i talked to first did not know tx stood for texas and his name was glen johnson. i even said to him really are you serious? and laughed. I have called the bbb to alert them to alert others. I am on ssi and these people think they can fool desperate people who really need the resources..If you ever recieve money from the goverment 1. they wont call and tell you, you must dig to find out if they even owe you and fight for it from them. 2. YOu have to apply to them yourself and jump through many hoops to recieve what you do deserve. MOST OF ALL THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT WOULD NOT HAVE PEOPLE GIVING OUT GRANTS THAT DONT KNOW ENGLISH OR THE ABBREVIATIONS OF THE STATES! I HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE FROM NOT GETTING SCAMMED. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FREE MONEY, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER YOU HAVE TO WORK OR FIGHT FOR IT. ALSO THEY TOLD ME TO GO TO WWW.USGRANTSRESOURCES.COM TO CONFIRM WHO THEY ARE. AND NO OTHER INFO.

My husband received the exact phone call this morning from a gentleman stating that he has been rewarded a $50,000 grant.  My husband asked many questions about this grant and without thinking he gave this gentleman his debit card  info.  I immediately called our bank to report possible fraud and transferred all of our funds into another account.  We will wait and see for this 2nd phone call to happen.

Just got a call from this number stating I was awarded from the US grant department an amount of $50000.  Another number call me to validate the transaction (847-457-1029).  In the validation process I was expected to pay $330.00 and $8330 would be at Western Union for me and the $42000 would be sent to my account via my check card.  The $330 according to the lady I spoke to is going to We Care Foundation.  Money is to critical to give away when you do not have it.  Reciepient beware.  I have reported them to Western fraud department.  Also I received I phone from the bank of America 1800 # asking if I was going to complete the transaction today.  I am alarm that the bank is involved in this.  #1 rule you do not pay for grant money.
