I have received several calls from this number.  They are looking for someone who used to have this number.  I am sure I have told them at least 20 times that she is not here but they continue to harrass us.  I am tired of it and am not sure where to turn.

Rcvd phone call from 202*607*2752 today w/no message left on answering maching. Called this phone number back but received a recording stating to check the number & dial again. This is not a legitimate phone number!!!! I believe it may possibly be Bureau of Collection Recovery, a collection agency in which has previously called using the phone #202*607*2338.

This is the Las Vegas Tourist Board, or something like that.  Very weird because the area code for Las Vegas is 702.  Its probably outsourced to a call center.

I have been recieving calls from this number 202-607-2752 for a few months  now. They always call early in the morning and never leave a message. I never answer my phone for numbers I am not familiar with, and I do not call back unless they leave a message. They go through phases of calling every few weeks, every single day at around the same time. This morning i recieved a message from a lady saying that I needed to call her back at from some bogus BCR company and her return number was 1-888-714-2338. I am getting sick of the phone calls, is there a way to make them stop?

If anyone knowns who they are it would be great to find out,
Even if it is a bill collector, also they never leave a name of who they want to speak to there is four adults in my home. So we have know Idea who there calling for so how is anyone suppose to call them back,
Like I said if I could reach them,,,,,,,,well you can take it from there,

Every night while my mother is talking on the phone it will sound like someone is dialing on another phone in the house if she hangs up then trys to make another call it says the number you called is not in service then it will say would you like to join a Verizion conferencing call 800-475-4455. Some times she can't even use her phone again for a while. This has been going on for several months. She is elderly and tonight I told her lets just stay on the phone while it does that it kept sounding like someone dialing every 1 minute some times it would wait 3 minutes then do it again. This went on for 30 minutes.
We called the phone company AT&T today they came and said there was nothing wrong with her phone.
If anyone has any idea how to stop this please let me know.

Debt Collector
I have received several calls lately about my "account". Yesterday, another call came from BCR at 888-276-8209. They left a voice mail message asking to call back about my "account".  I called back.  There was an answering machine message asking to leave a message and my information. I did leave a message including my name, my home # (which they initially called) and my cell #, and the fact that I did not know what "account" they were talking about. This all seemed strange to me, so I researched this number, which is also affiliated with 202-607-2752.  From what I am reading online, this might be a part of a scam or some kind of identity fraud.  Please look into this, as now they have my name and phone numbers.

Yea, those fools called me and its foolish. I highly doubt it is a collection agency. Just some fraud. Don't give out any personal information. Just cause someone asks your name, doesn't mean you have to give it. You don't have to say anything.

Just got my first phone call from this number this morning at 8:30 in Anchorage, Alaska. I picked up and the recording came on to call BCI at the specific number they gave. I won't bother calling back, but hope this isn't the beginning of harrassing phone calls from them.

Both numbers have shown up on my caller ID.  Sometimes a msg is left and sometimes not.  All hours of the day and night.  Even on weekends when they say they don't work.

I called 1-888-276-8209 and spoke to a woman by the name of Erica.  I asked for BCR's address.  She asked me why.  I wanted to write them a letter.  She wanted my account #.  I told her I didn't have one.  She asked for my phone #.  I gave it to her.  She asked for Natasha.  I told her no one lived here with that name.  She said she was deleting the phone # from their call list so there was no need for their address.  I repeatedly asked her for their address.  She repeatedly avoided giving it to me and hung up on me when I told her, "So your refusing to give me the company address."

I have been getting calls from this place for about 4 or 5 months.  I would like to call phone co. and put a block, but the number is not always the same.  there is this one, a couple of others and a couple 800 numbers...always the same result.  No person, just a recording that starts as soon as you speak.  I have found that if I don't speak, the recording doesn't start.  I simply hang up.  They always have the message... Please call BCR at blah, blah, blah.  It is getting very old, since it has been going on so long.  I did try to call the number they left once, just so I could tell them to stop calling me, but got yet another recording.  I refused to hold for someone who is harassing me.  I have had my phone  number for over 2 years, and am not behind in any bills.  I do not know how to stop them from calling!!  If there is someone out there who does, please let me know by replying to this message.

After months of calls from these people, I decided to return the call.  I have no caller ID but evidently this is a Verizon teleconferencing number with a reference number of 800-475-4455.  The person who answers this number says they have hijacked the number and advises to call your phone company.  In my case AT&T.  What a run around and waste of time that was, no one wants to get involved, basically , they refer you to your local police dept.  Oh, I bet they will be anxious to help.  Where is the FCC when you need them.  You would think they could track down these losers in short order and get these guys off all of our backs.

I have received calls from the following numbers in the last few weeks as well: 202-607-2756, 202-607-2806, 202-607-2749, 202-607-2752, 800-831-7311, 804-290-8550, and 319-447-5488. I did not record the dates & times from my caller ID though. However, most of the calls were recordings telling me to call some company called "BCR at 888-276-8209", with no explanation of what the call is about.  Since I had never heard of BCR and have no business with them, I have not returned their calls.

You may want to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and/or your State Attorney's Office. If this company is a debt collection agency, then they are bound by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, which I believe states they cannot call repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at that phone number. And if it's a scam, they should be made aware so they can investigate it.

Here is an excerpt from the FTC's website on what to do to file a complaint:

<<Where can you report a debt collector for an alleged violation?
Report any problems you have with a debt collector to your state Attorney General' s office and the Federal Trade Commission. Many states have their own debt collection laws, and your Attorney General' s office can help you determine your rights.

The FTC works for the consumer to prevent fraudulent, deceptive and unfair business practices in the marketplace and to provide information to help consumers spot, stop, and avoid them. To file a complaint or to get free information on consumer issues, visit www.ftc.gov or call toll-free, 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357); TTY: 1-866-653-4261. The FTC enters Internet, telemarketing, identity theft, and other fraud-related complaints into Consumer Sentinel, a secure online database available to hundreds of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and abroad.>>

They have called us from both #'s.  I just called the 888-276-8209 and someone put me on hold and never came back.  Then I called back she ask me my home # which I gave to her and she then disconnected the call by saying just a second.

I receive 4 to 5 calls weekly from 202-607-2752 and 202-607-2749.  This has been going on for months (like 3, I estimate).  Rarely is there an attempt to leave a message, and almost all attempts have been unintelligible. Unlike Rae, I have not noticed a pattern of 2752 on Sandays and 2749 other days, but I will go back and check for this.  Like Rae, I have come up with Tagela Fogg as the name behind the number.  I have not and will not ever call back.

Two or more different numbers and locations but it's the same people.
Every Sunday, caller id 202-607-2752,Tagela Fogg (what a name) calls and leaves a message to call 1-888-276-8209. The other days of the week the calls are from 202-600-2749, Washington, DC.
By the way, I've lived here for 8 years and I am not indebted to anyone.
My cell phone is a "tracphone" and only my friends and family know the number. I turn off my home phone ringer and turn the message announcement down to 0 during the time I am home. At night, I smile to myself as I delete the messages and numbers.
