a guy called me 2day telling me i was chosen randomly to receive a government grant..."wat an idiot? he then asked me to snd $330 to western union money an also for my bank acc numba. this is the number he rang me on 0280066646 he also told me not to tel anybody including my partner about the money cause apparently the Australian government said so... bloody idiots who do they think they are trying to rip good people off.

got a call from this number this morning.  He left me a message saying he was from Immigration services and that my declaration had some errors on it. I think it is some crap. I am American made,  just because my last name is Perez doesn't mean I am an immigrant. My grandparents were first generation Irish born in the US.  Seriously waiting for them to call me back so I can scream at them.  

Says government randomly selected 1,700 people to receive a $7,000 grant. Th hey ask how you want to receive it cash credit card direct deposit. I said cash and I was then told I would have to make a deposit of $330 to western union to prove I was the right individual and I would get the deposit back. Has to be a scam!

I received a call that offered e a 7,500 Government Grant, but I needed to have $290.00 in my bank and go to a Western Union SCAM

Yeah I've received 2 calls from these guys each time I was told I was to receive a $8,400 grant that I wouldn't have to pay back (I knew it was a scam instantly when the first guy refered to his agency as "the government") after I refused the grant right away he didn't push the issue: he gave up right away and asked me why I refused (so he can real in the next sucker no doubt) I refused to tell him then he got upset an sarcastic at me. The second guy called weeks later--I need to remember to block these idiots--claiming the same amount of money, only being more specific. I just listened politely and he said out of the blue "you don't want the money?" And I said "I said nothing of the sort, but you read my mind" he immediately became belligerent; shouting f bombs and sexist remarks until he hung up on me before I could tell him not to call again. I don't remember the first number but the second was 202-666-1040 DC. They were both from DC.

You can kiss that $278 goodbye.  An expensive lesson, I guess, to learn about these kinds of scams.

i didnt want to give bank info so i WU $278 to andrian anderson in tallahassee FL for supposed fee to WU me $7500 that I was selected to receive id never been had before by some bull like this before so i believed it. then they had me fill out receive paper from patrick brown  in washington DC for 7,778 for my 7,500 plus the 278 fee back. then had to wait for call from federal reserve advisor to release funds. he calls and says ny is not a non tax state so id have to pay the $624 tax on $7,500 in order for them to release funds! ya okay! now im pissed and out 300 bucks. i told the guy id call back friday when i have the 624. now im tring to find someone who will trace the call. the call back number is 202-657-5862 origional number was 202-738-1973.

Get that auto deposit changed ASAP and close the account.  Alert the bank to the scam.

Have anyone had their money taken from their account yet cause i gave them my acount # but i have no money in it but my pay check get deposited,

HaHa.... Funny. I Wasnt 100% sure that this was a scam until I read all of these similar cases. Funny enough, I was at the library and a lady called me. My caller ID showed 'Name Unavailable' So that was a good foreshadow-er so early in the call. The lady spoke to me in a ridiculous foreign language and asked me for my information. Ignorant as I was, I gave most of it away but changed some details just in case it was a scam. Then I called that call back number and some guy answered the phone. My caller ID showed this number to be District of Columbia Haha.... The guy went into detail and told me everything that you guys posted him saying, and in the end came the show stopper: the now $250 dollar application fee. I LOL'ed within the confines of my mind and, just to be sure, I confided with the librarian to see what his take on all this was. He plain out told me, "Dude. That's A Scam. Anyone that asks for money up front is scamming you." ... So, needless to say, I'm not paying s*** to anyone and I hope that whoever these b*****ds are, they get caught

She said I was granted the money because I did not have any criminal record, filed bankrucpty within the last six months. she also said that i was selectd Because I files my taxes on time. she than asked for my routing and checking account number in which i gave to her. she than told me to contact fianace officer David Watson at 202 609 7027. When I contacted him I gave him the grant account number that the woman from the first call gave me which was NV323. He congrulated me for being selected to win the money. He told me that in order to have the money sent to my account I would have to go to western union and send $210.00 to some charity. He told me to call when i got to western union so he could provide me with the info of who I should send it to. After the payment was made he said I would recieve a call from the new york fedral burea in which they would ask for the reciet for the money order and wire the $8400 to my account. I did not follow through with it because my friend and husband said it was a scam.

I got the same call I went through with it, and 50 minutes later I had the money!!!!!! 7000

First an Indian lady called me from (970) 589-4341 stating that her name was Jennifer George and asked for my checking account info and told me that I'd be receiving gov't grants in the amount of 8400, and gave me an approval code nv323 and told me to call David Watson at 202 609-7027 so that he could release the funds. Good thing I didn't fall for his scam after seeing several reports from this number. I asked him if I needed to pay anything and he told me that i needed to pay a one time application fee. But if they are really giving out free money, then an application fee doesn't make a difference especially if they are "so called" giving out thousands of dollars. May these people burn in hell!

This is some s***, these a***ole are scamming everyone!! I have a newborn and when someone tells me that I'm going to receive money that gets my hopes up for my son!!! They really should be ashamed of there self!!! How low do you have to be to make your profession by scamming innocent ppl!!!

I call a call from this number

I received a similar call today. A foreign sounding lady said that I had won a government grant for $7,000. She gave me a confirmation number and a security number. She gave me the number 202-470-2475. I was to call Kevin Smith and give him the confirmation and security number. She asked for my bank account and routing number. When I spoke to Kevin Smith and gave him the confirmation number he said he had to pull my file and to call back in 15 minutes. I never could reach him again. It is a big fat scam.

Wayne bruce  client called me to tell me I been randomly selected to a goverment grant I knew it was a scam because grants are free. In he would not let me put the money in his account so I told him he was being recorded he start getting angry. goverment officals are professional people he got angry when I was asking questions they don't do those things. Something NEEDS to be done about these people. It is ridiculous that this has been going on for so long, especially from the same phone numbers! It's all a big scam! Do not give them your information, report them and cancel any bank accounts they may have info. to immediately. They collect the money ("charity" and "safety deposits") very quickly! The government has the tools to investigate and take these people down, so WHY aren't they doing it?
There is also a number they will connect you to for a women at the "Federal Reserve Bank of NY". Her name is KATHERINE SMITH. DO NOT give her any information either, it is ALL a scam.

I just got a call about a 7k grant, but I didnt buy it because he said in order to recieve the grant I must first donate 120 dollars to a charity. When will These scamers stop!!!!!  I googled the number and found this to be a bogus agency

My sister in law sent a total of $600 and they are still having problems getting the 7k.  The lady at Western Union told her the FIRST time that a lot of people were sending them money.  She thought it was a Good sign,  lol  Now she wants to hire an investigator and involve the police.  Oldest scam going.
