Jus received a call from a women offering grant money and gave my this number to call back they need to be stopped

they claimed that they were calling from the us government. they tried to scam me out of money. saying that this in a one in a life time thing.

Had a call from a government worker, had a foreign acsent, said I had received a grant of 9000 because I was taxed to much in the past. Said all I had to do was pay 250 dollar deposit for the transfer to my account.. I refused, pretty sure it was a scam. Watch out

i got call from 202-621-0554 he identified himself as mark cafer with indian  accent he tolled me his with us gov and i have to give them visa card number to make $8000 deposit to mu accunt and i did and the called me back saying that the need to take $ 200 to get $ 8000 clam i told hem u did not ask me u going to take $200 , i dont have  no meony on chicken accunt hhhhhhhhhhhhh  scam scam scam

I received a call from 202-210-0054, the caller identified himself as Michael Steve (with an Indian accent) informing me that I had been selected for a $10,000 grant by the US Government. He asked for some information from me. I was busy at the time so he offered to call me back the following day (I thought that would be the end of it). He called back the following day at exactly the time we had agreed to. Then he gave me some info & the 202-621-0554 number to call & Mark Casper was supposed to answer the phone. He did (again with an Indian accent) US Treasury Department, & then I was informed that to get my $9,000 grant I needed to pay a $250 processing fee & I would have the money within 45 minutes. I ended the call at that time.

Just hung up the phone with a person whao claimed that I had been approved for 7k in grant money.  Gave me three options to choose how to receive my grant money when I selected cash, I was then told I would have to make a westren union deposit of $330, in order to secure the money.

haha, I totally knew it was a scam from the get-go. Gave them a bunch of details that were FALSE. lol, thought it would be funny when they realized they were the ones who will end up disappointed and lied too.

Same thing has happen to me last night. September, 19, 2012 around 7 pm central time. They told me the same thing. But, told me to call # 202-621-0554 and speak to Tony Snow. (The boss) this is a scam.

I got a call on this  last night  on September , 19, 2012 around 7pm central time. The lady on the phone told me I had $7,000.00 in grant money. How did I want it?" Cash, bank account. or Master card?"  I told her Master card. She then reply we will need your last numbers on your card to set this up. I said wait. Sounds like a scam. She then reply back then" I guess you want it in cash?"  She gave me a approvel number and told me to call back at this number #202-621-0554 and speak to her boss. I think this needs to stop. Money is way too tight to be fool by someone like this. If I was to get grant funds, they better come from school I would apply for or from the grant location that my son received his real grant from. Be careful. This is a scam.

I have received numerous calls from various numbers, some showed up as just "5" and some other strange ones. Each time they claimed they were from the U.S. treasury or the grants department. They claimed that I have received $8,000 the first couple calls, then it changed to $7,000. They said I could only receive it via bank account or credit card....No check. Then I got a call that gave me a confirmation number and another number to call (202) 621-0554, and to ask for johnny snow(supposed manager). I was told I had to deposit $330something as a security deposit at a Western Union bank in order to receive my grant. He said he was the only person who could help me, there was no website and no one knew who the U.S. Treasurer was or the vice president or the republican party or anything political. Assuming they worked for the government they would know something. No one spoke good English either. He also got very angry when I kept asking questions and he couldn't answer them.

Total scam, the Indian accent lady told me I was granted 7,000 n all I had to do is call Johnny snowball, I couldn't really understand her accent and started giving me attitude, I asked to talk to someone who knows English or her supervisor  and all she said was to call Johnny so I did, n he said I had to send the
$325 to western union for me to get the $7,000 I told him I wanted evidence of this and asked for a website and another # to call n if I could speak with someone who can speak English n the Indian accent man gave me attitude and yelled at me n I laughed n hanged up!! Oh!! But he said to look up claims.gov n I did n it doesn't exist !

This is a true scam i knew it was to good to be true when they asked for $330 said you dont have to pay for grants people like this need to be stopped this is a true scam

TO RECEIVE...i WAS EXCITED BECAUSE i WANT TO RETURN TO SCHOOL BUT WAS LEARY DUE TO ALL THE SCAMS....TOLD THEM I THOUGHT THIS WAS A SCAM....IMAGINE THE DISAPPOINTMENT ...TOLD THEM TO TAKE ME OFF THEIR CALLING LIST.tHEY HAVE TO BE STOPPED....

someone called my daughter offering her  $7,000 in grant money to be given to her in one of three ways: cash in hand, direct deposit to her bank account or by check. She asked the caller three times where he was calling from, but couldn't understand his Indian accent.  They told her all she had to do was call the woman at 202-621-0554 and she'd get the money immediately.  She called me to see if it was real so I Googled the number and saw that they ask you for a wired amount of $325.  Red flag.  You don't have to pay for grant money.  SCAM!

SOMEONE CALLED TELLING MY SON THAT HE HAD GRANT MONEY FOR 7,0000 AND ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS SEND 325.00 FOR A SECURITY DEPOSIT...THEY WANTED HIM TO WESTERN UNION THE MONEY IN ORDER TO GET A CHECK...THIS KIND OF SCAM NEEDS TO STOP!!!
