So I posted my motorcycle on craigslist for sale and the same number text me asking if it was still avaliable. I replied yes and the conversation began. The person stated that she was buying the motorcycle for her son and wanted to know its condition and if i thought he would be disappointed with it. During our little converstion I googled the area code knowing it wasnt local and realized it was Washington. After a few more minutes of conversatin went by the buyer stated that she wanted to purchase my bike, gave me a name of brooke lopez and asked for my name in return. Being the type of person I am, I didnt give her my name but asked if she was from my area because her area code didnt match any around me. While waiting for her to reply I googled the whole number and found this Blog. She text back and stated that yes she was from Washington D.C., I told her I only do  business local and goodbye. She never asked for paypal or any account info, but then again the conversation never got that far. DO NOT give anthing to anyone calling or texting from this number ITS A TOTAL SCAM!

Texted me at 5:45am this morning.  I've seen the same message before, but in slight variations. Here is the common text format these scumbags use:  
"(YOUR ITEM TITLE, PASTED IN FULL!) My name is BRIAN!!.I would like to know if this is still for sale & do get back to me with its full condition and your last asking price for it.."
I'm going to play with him for a little while... see if I can juice any more info out of them.  
I don't understand HOW this number can still be actively in use SINCE 2012!  Someone is not doing their job...

Samething happened to me last night, gift for son,needed pay pal info...his name was Jodan Keller.... I'm really glad there are sites like this one.

Same thing. seemed legit at first, but then said needed extra money for shipping. don't trust! went by the name jordan keller, said he wanted to buy my motorcycle for his son.

Hes at it agian.  SCAM SCAM SCAM.  He him I was with Fraud Protection and his number has been red flagged.

They tried to buy concert tickets from me with the same story, wouldn't talk to me on the phone.  They would only talk through text.  I avoided this scammer by looking up this site, thanks others for positing.

Just received a message from this number for a house I have for sale. The person said his/her name was Jordan. I always check names and phone numbers when I post things on Craig's List.

I just got the same thing today about my RV via a text. I called paypal to ensure that if you request funds via the cell phone text that they couldnt do anything with the request.

I am glad everyone posted something on this so I could be aware. I thought this was fishy from the beginning. They texted me and said they wanted the RV as a present for their son.

Same here. This numbr also contacted us about a camper stating they were buying it for their son. I asked why they couldn't come look at it and they said they were fine with price and condition and that the movers do not do money transaction. They also were wanting to pay with PayPal. Sounds suspicious to me so I called number and its a google number?? I thank we were trying to be scammed. He went by the name of Jordan.

This same number won't stop texting me asking for my Paypal to buy my motorcycle I have on Craigslist for their son, glad I googled the number!!

Selling camper on craigs list also.  Accepts price and wants to know if we have a paypal account. We were leery as he only texted his messages and said he could not make a phone call. That is when I looked up on line this phone number and Jordan Keller.  One of his lines to us  "can only pay through paypal and for now as i  have no access to my bank account online but i have on linked to my paypal. you can set up a paypal accoount by logging on . . .  "  Thanks to this website!!

Yes same thing here... Texts that i got was he was buying Harley from me for his son... and he said that hes sending an extra $1000 that would need to be sent to shipper by western union... Total Scam BEWARE...

Same MO: I buying it for my cousin and he doesn't know about it. I have a pick up company come after paypal clears. Used paypal for years no problems just send me your email and paypal. I was close till I goggled the number. Broken English during texting kind of raised a flag as well. BEWARE!!

Received a text message stating that they wanted to purchase an ATV that I had listed on Craigslist and they wanted my pay pal information.

This number is linked to a scam artist who tries to get people to give out their paypal account information.

It IS a scam Kerry. We were contacted by this number just last night and this morning, we have a Harley Davidson for sale on craigslist that we just posted yesterday. They said the same thing to us! People only need an email address to send money on Paypal, nothing else.

Just got a text from this person on my boat. Wanted my paypal acct. Told them wasnt gonna go that route because to many scams. If you want to buy the boat come see it and bring cash. They stopped texting.

Same story with me, had a Kawasaki motorcycle for sale in Daytona Beach on Craigslist, she texted me saying she was buying the bike for her cousin and that she would have a shipper come pick it up after she paid me via PayPal, she said her name was Mary Cornell, when I asked her what state she was in she avoided the question, I was extremely Leary so I  decided to google the phone number, sure glad I found this website. I'm still trying to figure out what her method of profit was through the deal, she said she would pay for the shipping, and she also said that I would get the money in my paypal account before she picked the motorcycle up.

Scammer - see story about moving and cousin - same old story!

I got the same story from this same number, because I was trying to sell a truck on craigslist.  Said its for a cousin.  I called paypal and they said even if you give the email address...there is nothing they can do.

Yea this a** clown is trying to buy my bike and just told me that it's a surprise gift for the so called cousin
