These idiots keep calling and drive you nuts. Even when you don't answer they let it ring and ring

They call, and when I answer they hang up.  This my be one of those robots which call random numbers to determine if the line is an active line, then they sell it to telemarketers as a valid number. I get these kind of calls three or four times a day. AND I HAVE MY NUMBER REGISTERED WITH THE "DO NOT CALL" SYSTEM.

I have now been called from this number twice in less that twenty four hours!  I don't answer because I have never seen the number in my life so I know it is noone I know.    Too bad that these nitwits are able to do what they want and little can be done!  
Ever have problems with spam text's, which you get charged for even if you don't answer it?

I am so very tired of these political unsolicited calls, which are now coming literally every day.  One had a recorded message about marriage equality that was so long that it literally took up all of the memory on my machine.  Other messages (including from Huckabee) say that it's a public survey and that they will call back later.

I understand politicians (and the staff members that work for them) have conveniently exempt themselves from the laws that govern the "Do Not Call" list.

But I'm still hoping that folks on these boards will do more than just post complaints here.  I still log a complaint for each and every call on the Do Not Call List website.  I hope that they become so inundated with complaints that something has to be done and they'll reconsider the exemption.

And then if that doesn't work, I am seriously considering temporarily unregistering myself as a voter.  If asked why, I'll let "the powers" know that, yes, I'll re-register, but only just before the deadline to vote, and that will happen every year.  I'll let them know that I'm not interested in continously being registered, not when it gives politicians and WashDC permission to gain access to my phone number to abuse it like any spammer would abuse it.  Imagine the workload if many people keep registering and re-registering, forcing the exemption to be re-considered.  The number of calls have gotten to the point of being ridiculous.

I do not answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. This one has called several times in the past two weeks.  Caller ID stated "WashDC" for at least one of them; NA on the rest.

We received a call yesterday.

Look, you guys can do whatever you want to in the privacy of your own home, but I am getting sick and tired of the constant pressure on the vast majority of Americans to accept your lifestyle.

If you want to get on your political soap box why don't you blog on an appropriate site.  This is not the venue for your political opinions.

I have recieved a call from this number 3 days in a row, but I never answer. A messages is always left saying, "This is a survey call; will call again later." Beyond annoying.

A recorded message received twice. Don't appreciate calls coming to my cell phone, they don't pay my bill. If I wanted them to know what my opinion was on this survey I would have called them.

I was thinking the same thing while reading their replies.  In fact, their replies are the ones that aren't appropriate here while pointing fingers at others.

I've received two of these phone call attempts. I did not recognize the string of letters ending in 2011 so I didn't pick up. It's the same as everyone else is receiving, PLCTLRSPNZ2011. I am also on the National "DO NOT CALL" list. I did the 'reverse look-up' on the 202 area code and it came up a D.C. area number. I don't care who it is or what they want. From what I've been reading here it sounds like nothing I want anything to do with. I'm going to call my phone carrier and see what they can do, if anything, to get this stopped.
I'm also going to call the Voter Registration Office in my county and have my phone number removed from their my registration information.
I'm absolutely disgusted. I can't believe people get away with this kind of crap! There has to be something, short of cutting ourselves off from any contact with the outside world, that we can do.

I picked up this time.  It asked if I was planning to vote in the 2012 presidential election .  I said I am,
and it said, This is a political survey we may call back.
which is the message it's been leaving on my answering machine all week.

If it weren't for DSL, I'd get rid of my land phone.

Have had several calls from this number mostly in the evening. Caller ID is no help with this one as the name given is gobbledygook.

i've gotten multiple calls from this number on multiple days. never picked up and i'm not on the do not call list. but i am still annoyed.

Call from the same number from a recording stating "This is Daniel Flannery - a Conservative Republ..." then I hung up. When trying to call the number back, it says mailbox is full and cannot accept messages.

Got a call from this number, with caller ID PLCTLRSPNZ2011.  Our number is already in the Do Not Call Registry.  Please get rid of this call!!

This number is calling my phone a couple times each day with some message about same sex marriage.  They are calling a gay couple's house and leaving this message.  I am a very passive person, but if I found the persons doing this, I would rip thier heads off.  There seems to be no way to stop them.  I called back and the MAIL BOX is full so you can leave no messages.
