I got a message this morning from some former something endorsing Chris Slater (?). I really wasn't paying that good of attention to the names but I am reporting the number. I'm tired of this crap.

Repeated, unwanted calls from this # to vote for Susan Savage for NY State Senate District 44. Multiple times every day. Lost my vote forever. Stop wasting my money!

Got the same call @7:31. Whoever dreamed this up fails the good citizenship quiz.

Got the same robocall that discouraged voters, stating the election was won before the polls closed. For shame.
Royce Faddis 2010-11-02 23:47:35 Prank Call
We received an inappropriate and unAmerican phone call this evening at 7:21 on Nov 2 before the polls had even closed telling us that "Martin O'Malley and Obama had been successful, the polls were correct, relax, everything's fine, etc." Obviously it was designed to discourage people from going to vote. The phone number was 202-640-5113. (we used *69 to get it). So we just wanted to report it in case there was an investigation.
We are in Baltimore City.

This kind of political "prank" is just not funny, and is dangerous. We have an unlisted number - they have no business making these calls!
Anonymous 2010-11-02 23:42:55 Unknown
That was exactly my thought, too! The Republicans are the sleeziest group around - let's hope they don't get into power!!

I got the same call as reported above at 7:31 pm. Woman's voice: I'm calling to let you know that Gov. O'Malley and President Obama have succeeded. Relax, we have won. The only thing left to do is watch the results on TV.

Likewise, Mary I called the AG hotline number at 1-866-298-8245. Talked to a nice guy named Darcy. He said the Feds were aware of the issue (they called him about it while I was talking to him).
Always report these things. I'm on the do-not-call-list. The election may (or may not) be going your way. But I think we can all agree that the do-not-call-list should be extended to political hacks.

Recorded call received @ 7:20 p.m. on election day - "No need to vote. President Obama's turnout and O'Malley has won." A call discouraging tidy voters.
catlady777 2010-11-02 23:23:21 Unknown
Just got a call saying Obama and OMalley had accomplished there goal and there was no need to vote. There is still an hour left at the polls.

Got a call telling me O'Malley and Obama had won the race. It was a woman's voice, and parts of it were unintelligible. Encouraged me to stay home and watch TV tonight.

i leave in baltimore city just received a call from this number saying that the democracts and Pres Obama had won...this call came in at 6:42 pm est...polls do not close until 8pm...WHAT IS UP???????

There's something decidedly fishy about this. We got a call before the polls closed, saying the Democrats had won and we could all just sit back and relax. I assume this is some Republican ploy to keep Democrats from going out and voting. Wish we could pinpoint who's behind it.

202-640-5113 keeps calling my childs cell phone. This is a recorded message from a person running for office. My child isn't old enough to vote!!!! You are using our cell phone minutes to plead for a vote that you're not getting and costing my family money. When I call the number back to have them remove the number from the list, it's busy.
Maria 2010-10-13 23:52:26 Unknown
Please do not call my home.

Received a phone call on a rainy Sunday afternoon while shopping for groceries: click whiz - no message.
"Your nobody called again today,
And this is what she had to say,
It's nobody,
Just nobody."

Just received a phone call from 202-640-5113. Recorded message saying that they were doing a poll to see if we were mainly democrat or republican. Press 1 for ???? press 2 for ????. No other options were given. Didn't give an answer, they hung up.

Recorded message from "Maya Angelou" telling me to register to vote, and then vote in DC, even though we can't vote in DC -- but she visits here often, so she thought she'd urge us to vote. Sheesh.
