270-697-7222 called me today stating that my name and phone number was chosen to receive a free gov. grant for $8000, but the call got  disconnected. I did not call the number back.  This is  a scam. You can only get a government grant if you apply for it.  THere are websites with lots of good information on how to do this.  

Ask if i was me by robo. This is business call. I hung up.

I have received numerous calls from this "blocked" number for the past week.  I finally spoke with them today and He advised I had received a grant from the US Federal Government.  He wanted my name, address, date of birth and bank account.  I hung up on him and he had the audacity to call back and give me this call back number for his senior manager (which sounded nothing like that when he said it).  I googled the number and thankfully saw this and told him he was busted that I knew it was a scam.  I too am on a Do Not Call List.

Da lady said I got a fre grant from government she told me ma date of birth an my name so I thought it was real. She wanted me to wire a security balance of 290.   To get my grant  idk sum s*** like dat  today dat happen

They called me the other day saying i won $7,500 and to go to western union to pay $290. but i get the money right back.

Just got the same call. Told the lady i was 45 mins away from western union. She said to call her back and she would stay on the line until i got my $7780.00. ($7500 grant + $280 security deposit) i can record her voice ??? What would be helpful?

I have received two seperate calls from 202-640-5471. Both times they told me that I had been approved for a U.S. Grant at random. First clue this was a scam.......Grants arenn't given at random and secondly.....all four individuals I talked to had a very heavy accent. Im not racist by far, just hard to believe that every person I talked claiming to be from D.C. would have the same accent ! So during the last call I received today, I told the guy I was looking the number up on the internet while he was feeding me his line of bull**** and that I knew he was a scam and to never call my number again and I was reporting them. His response to me was " If you were here, I would assult you !" Crazy right? Now who do we go to to make an actual report on these b*****ds? One of the sites I looked on with these same complaints had the damages from them so far at almost 60,000.00 dollars! And that number is probably three times that or more! We gotta stop these idiots! To many people in desperate need of money are falling for this with no questions asked! Remember one thing people.....If it sounds to good to be true, than it most likely is! i just got a call today too! they asked for my DOB, && blah blah...the lady got mad coz i questioned her intentions. so dumb.

I just had phone call from an unknown solicitor who stated that I was approved for  a $15,000.00 gov grant. all I ad to do was call 202-640-5471. then go to western union to claim the $$$. I was given a confirmation # as well...Sorry I am up on my SCAM Alert signals.......

I just got a call saying taht because I pay my taxes and have a good record I qualify for $7,500 grant money which I do not have to pay back. Asked for my birthdate and I gave it to them. What an idiot I am. The number they used is 575-546-1575

We need to bring these people down. I just got this call 2day and it sounded too good to b true so I called the US Federal Government of Treasury (where the lady claimed she was from) and spoke to someone who said it was a scam. It sounds legit and I could understand why people would go through w/ it. BUT, if they're asking for money, or bank info., or anything personal then its fradulent. That's the 1st question I asked the lady that wanted $246 from Western Union. Why would I pay money to get money? She said its for identification purposes. Yeah sure. I'm pissed and wanna bring them down.

Called back to tell them they are on the scam list and they hung up on me so can you say SCAM

Just got the same call...they wanted to know if I wanted my funds via check or cash. I chose cash. Caller then asked for my home address (don't think I will get anything..lol). Caller also gave me the 202-640-5471, and of course no answer. Nothing is for free....BELIEVE this!

Just got fired. Last week. Needed money. Before I got fired. I was on medical leave. Money running low. Looking for payday loans online. Next thing I know got calls non-stop from loan agencies. Everyone of them were foriegn. They have a Somalian accent. I know cause my job employ a fair amount of them. Got the same call too. I was using Google search engine. This never have happened if I've used Explorer by Mircrosoft. Hackers warn me that Google is not good. Should've listen. Also, getting calls from this number too."000-0000".

If a foreigner calls you from a WITHHELD #, go along with the game.  Try to correct their english!  They get infuriated.  These people need to be stopped!   FYI -- It's a scam folks...  do not buy into this!   I am going to my local police department tomorrow, and I'm going to post information to the local FBI office' website.  Keep fighting against these attackers!

The call I initially received was from a blocked number, and I spoke to someone named Marcy.  I was asked to call  (202) 657-6938 and speak to a woman named Malory. When I called I was given the same story about how I needed to pay $288 at a Western Union in order to receive my $7500.... Straight BS
