Always check with your Law Firm if you are suspicious. With any and all documentation, have your attorney review on your behalf. They sure did not like me calling them back with my business.

I got just got that same msg I'm sure glad I found this that to the real people putting out the truth this is not the i. r.s. these are imposters .

They just called me too from the "IRS" it sounded weird when they said I had to send them 170 through a money pack?? I mest up by giving my routing and account number. Hopefully they can't just go into my account now :/

Just got the same msg on my cell today 1-4-13 sayin they were the IRS and I needed to verify my bank account to get $2173 deposited in my account, all automated call, I called back and heard a beep then silence.  Scarey bc I couldve fallen for it if it werent for my husband's advice.

Got one today and they claim to be taxation department and I was entited 2,173 and will deposit to my account once I verify my creditals. Definately a scam and probably want your ssn# and apply for fake loans with your name and ssn#.

They just did my husband like that just now. He got too excited and sent them the money without talking to me first. If it sounds to good to be true it usually is.

Got the call from the number 202 643 5126. They left a prerecorded message saying I recieved an additional tax refund of 2200 dollars claiming to be the IRS. I called the number back but got a weird internet dial up sound line..

Just got a call from this number, telling me I have a refund due to me. I need to call to verify my info.....No name of company or emp name, just a message w the number to call for a refund.

I recieved a call from this number stating that the IRS owes me in back taxes and would like me to pay $200.00. They told me how to pay Them with a green dop card

A court order should reveal who/what crooked company is using numbers from this area code and for what reason. A goodbye message reveals that telecriminals have access to certain numbers.

got a call from 202-643-5126/lvm that i had an overpayment from IRS...called the number just to see what it was, heard heavy breathing pause for about five seconds, then someone with thick accent, saying thankyou for calling the IRS (in the background I could hear the tv blarring), hung up immediately...called my ph back later

Got a phone call from 202-643-5126 saying they were the Office of Internal Revenue and that they owned us $2173.  I called my mom right away.  We knew it was a scam because the IRS wouldn't do that.

Had a message from this phone number, when I called back they said they were the IRS and that I had a refund of over $2200. He then wanted my bank account number to charge the $200 fee for filing the mistake and then they would deposit my refund.  I hung up and called the IRS number listed in my phone book and it is NOT a call from them.  Don't FALL for it!!!!'

I got the same message.  Was a strange voice using unusual cadence...didn't ask for me by name or anything.  I called and it sounds like the line is being used for a modem.

I got a call on 12/21/12 saying IRS has an additional $2173.00 in refund for me...I wish.   Anyway for fun I called back and all it did was beep in my ear and then dead silence....I was hoping they would answer - I was gonna play!

I also received a message saying I received a tax refund and to call the number in order to verify my identity.

Just received a call from 202-643-5126.  Message said I had a refund coming of over $2,000.  That's funny because I was on the phone last week with the IRS and I still owe them money.  Anyway, don't fall for it.  If it was the IRS, they will send you something in the mail.

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers and  scammers  working  out  of , but  not  limited  to.....  in  INDIA /  THAILAND /  AFRICA /  JAMAICA    ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / free  cruises /  scam  giveaways /  $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  you  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

THEY  ALSO  IMPERSONATE   THE  "  FBI" /  "  CIA "  /  "  DEA"    claiming  you  "  have  been  caught  in  some  mysterious   drug  operation and  need  to  contact  them  immediately  etc  etc....all  super  fraud  scams  !!!!!

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams

I got the same call and when I called back it just goes straight to an answering machine with welcome message. I am sure it is a scam. I could use the $2123 they said I had owed to me though. LOL
