They called me. I got a female who I could not understand and told me my ssn was under investigation. Left VM without identifying who the company was. Ignored! !

I recieved a call from this john martinez claiming to be from a.legal department stating there was legal action against my name and social security number. I told him I have a lawyer and hung up on him bad thing it was at work.  Then I recieved two more calls on my cell. So I called my lawyers office and they ran a search on the number and told me its a scam. they advised me to call them back and find out some more info and then tell them yoi have already contacted the FBI and that you have contacted a lawyer also . So I did just that and when I called I got someone called jennifer smith. When I said I had a lawyer she hung  on me.

So what happened as a result ? did they continue to call you ?

i would just ignore or block the calls from your phone  , they are no concern to you. Dont lose any sleep on it .

yes , they have called me also threatening and saying that someone is using my social security number ??? sorry sounded a little flakey to me especially when they left a VM without identifying thier company , i would never take that kind of call seriously. I am not calling back after reading the comments on this site . Thank you all for the feedback.

they called me today. a lady with an indian accent. seems like a liget scam. can you please let me know what have others have done to resolove this problem.? they too said my social security was under investigation. she said her name is Brenda.

They contacted me and Sean -as he alleged to be called then transferred me to Mr. Tim Wagner who told me that my payday loan companies contacted them as legal course of actions and that if I did not work with them I would be arrested for attempting to scam the companies. Mr. Wagner so he says uttered that he was a lawyer and was willing to work with me to help settle my debts. Please tell me what I need to do in order to have these scam artists arrested.

A man with (Indian accent) named Mr. Martinez called me ..the calls have been going on for weeks now......he first began calling from "I think" a 361 area code.....he called me back to back leaving long detailed messages...saying that there was a warrant for my arrest and that I needed to call them immediately.  I called the # back and told him that he was harrassing me and asked if he could stop calling....I told him that I had legal representation and that I was going to have my attorney call his office.  I asked for the address and name of the company ...he started shouting...saying "are you threatening me..and then his reply was "F*&^%K YOU"!!!!!  and he hung up.  I called the number back several times and each time they hung up....they later began calling me from a 202 # with the same mess.....I did the same thing ..let them know that I knew my rights and they needed to hand up and stop calling me.....He even called my job....uhhhhh!!!! ..I told my job to let him know that he shouldn't be calling there for me again.  ...

I have had this number call mine and my husbands phone several  times in the last couple of weeks and finally this morning after a long night with my toddler this number kept calling and calling so I answered and they asked for my husband who was not here at the time and I stated that and hung up. The number than called four more times one after the other and I had two voice mails the first one was some guy saying hello and hanging up the next one was of him stating my husband must call back today and if he does not call back with a CC number he was gonna be in  big legal trouble it was an important legal matter not to be taken lightly seemed kinda strange so I went onto the world wide web and found this page wow is all I can say do people not have anything better to do than try and scam hard working AMERICANS? It makes me sick to think there are truly people out there that come to the US to enjoy our freedoms and the beauty of this country and than there are those that do this crap that give all those with hopes and dreams of a new life a bad name shame on them .....

Soon as I started asking questions, they kept hanging up on me. When I finally got through to them again, and told the guy I thought this was a scam, he became irate and told me F you twice and hung up. Now each time I call, they just hang up on me.

This man John something has been calling me and says I am a criminal.  He is very angry.  I told him I do not know what he is talking about and hung up but he keeps calling.

John Martinez (with an Indian accent ... and admittedly a native of India) called to tell me I had an unpaid payday loan. He said he was with the dispute resolution department. I advised him that I have no unpaid payday loans, and asked for the name and address of his company. He said something about DRNC in Washington DC.  I laughed at him. When he asked why I was laughing, I told him that I thought it was odd that he had an Indian accent and a Spanish name, and that he was refusing to give me the address of his business. He said he admitted to being from India. I asked if he was calling from India, and he told me that he thought I was thihnking he was, but that he was really calling from Washington DC.  He did not give me their address and he hung up. When I called back, some woman answered (Also with an Indian accent)  and I asked what her company name and address were. She also told me that she was with a dispute resolution department. I told her that if it was a legitimate issue, that her company would know they are legally required to identify themselves. She told me to shut up and hung up on me as well. When I got to my computer and could research the phone number, all I found was scam reports on google. I could nit find any legitmate debt collector or payday loan in Washington DC, by the name the first guy gave me.

I did call them back one more time and let them know that I was filing a fraud report with the FBI. He didn't seem concerned and said that my family was going to jail. *Laughable.* These people think that we are all stupid. Anyway... don't fall for it. These people are crooks just trying to extort money out of people by threatening them with legal action, and police action.

Got three calls in 5 minutes... One left a voicemail saying I was under investigation. When I called them back I was told the police would be coming to my place of work to serve me and would also have a warrant for my arrest. I said For what? He said I took a loan from "US Cash Advance" and never paid them back. When I said I never took a loan from any US Cash Advance, he hung up. The individual said he was from the "legal investigation department" but never identified the alleged lawfirm

I got a call from them to they say there from bradford lawfirm saying I owe for a payday loan I don't have I said I was contacting my atterney and they hung up on me

"John Martinez" also called me saying I was a criminal, I asked for the case number none was given, I told john I had contacted the sheriff's office and civil court and I had nothing on my name and he just hung up, I then called back and asked him what's going on, and he said nothing is going on and hung up as soon as I told him this was a scam...so i don't know what their intentions are but im pretty sure this is a scam.

This number keeps calling my work phone #. John Martinez... says I am a criminal.  I told them I filed charges against them and I knew it was a scam.  He screamed profanaties and hung up!!

Franklin Benjamin just called me and said police are on the way to arrest me for what I've done. I said I know this is a scam do not call again. They called my work!!! He hung up on me soon as I said scam!!
