I just recieved a call from the same number 970-002 its been calling me all week I thought how odd this is not a real phone number!!!! so they called again this morning i answered yes i got a free 7000.00 grant from the goverment listen to what she had to say got another number 202-657-6543 called it told them wanted my $$$$$$$$ western union then they told me they wanted a 270.00 plus 10.00 prossessing fee so 280.00 total and that when i get to western union call her and she'll walk me thru it i took all the info got off the phone and looked up the number and got here. I'm so fu%%$$#@$%king pissed how can these people do this and get away with it?????????trust and believe I'm gonna make there lives HELL if its the last thing I do

Ok so I got this call I'm smart enough to know that us does not put camel jockys in office that can't be understood! I went from calling this number thinking I had a grant coming to nonstop calling them having a cuusing match with these ppl I'm not gonna stop until they change it ....i won't let stand for it this is merica! Call them and f*** with there heads! Tell them we r on to them we are hunting them and we will not stop! Most ppl are scared of scamers I'm harassing them! Hope everyone does the same we can change there profession!

Anyone who reads this should calk the number and harass these low life's. On top of that tell them the authorities are well aware of who they are and they are on their way to haul their sorry a***s off to jail and save someone else a potentially financially crippling mistake.

These guys called my friend Wyatt muether and said he was selected by the government to accept  a 7000.00 grant. He called second number to see how far this would go and the woman answered in a perterbed manor. Wyatt asked who they were and once again the woman was rude and actually said what the hell are you trying to ask about sir. After a few more brief words and even more confusion the woman ended the call. Obviously something isn't right with this UNKNOWN caller.

I want to report this number for calling me and trying to scam me out of money.

i just got the call thought the same thing i didnt give no info. out! i told them that it was a scam. the Govt. is not going to give you money and ask for money back they know every thing so you would get a check in the mail!

Just recived the call my self I did not disclose any information but they gave me the call back number. Before i went to call i just Googled the number and all this came up so thanks to all of you for reporting! And to anyone else DO NOT TRUST THIS CALL!

Just another note....United States Treasury Dept number is 202-622-2000, but don't expect to get through to anyone unless you have special connections, I don't therefore I didn't get to speak to anyone. But that is ok, I still have my bank account.

I got the call too, did not give any info...but if this was the government calling they really are screwed up more than I thought. First he used my nickname not my birth name, somehow he has my address and I have moved to another state and not transferred my info yet, have only used it in looking for a job online, and boy did he get it wrong....said I was chosen because I hadn't filed for bankruptcy! Bad luck seems to follow me everywhere I go, but I just told him to mail me the check....not gonna call this number, I was looking this info up as he was talking to me. People, please be careful! Surely the people that work at the United States Treasury Department don't all have that thick of an accent that reeks of another country far far away!

I just received this call just now, they wanted me to verify the information they have of me. I never mentioned anything but listened to what he had to say. He wanted to verity my name and address, he got my name right and I said yes its correct. he then wanted to verify my address and I said it was wrong. he kept saying " that is why we want to verify your mailing address, so we can send you more information". I dont like giving out information to anyone so I asked for a number that I can call them back and gave me this 2026576543 number which I know I was re-directed to this number which I felt weird. The Holidays are coming and these people are working double time to get people. I hope no one else gets scammed. This is simplified evil. I hope KARMA comes these people.

I received a call about 20mins ago guy said i was selected to receive 7,000 cuz i had a clean record,, i asked if it was a scam he said no and that if i didnt wanna give my account numbers i could receive the money by western union,, then He gave a number to call 202-657-6543  on how i could receive the number.. I dnt know if its a scam or not since he said if i didnt feel comfortable giving my account number just receive the money by check,, i called the number but no one answers,, i could REALLY use the money but i dnt know if is a scam.. Has anyone actually called and gotten the money??

i just got this call. asked the lady if this was a scam, shes like no, well send you information and you pay no fees or taxes ever except the one fee of 270 which is for the out of state money wire transfer,, but she said the money goes to help needy families in other countries. i stupidly gave out my checking and routing number. looked online to see if it was a scam, and i called my bank and the vlosed my account. my bank lady said that its not a crime until you "recieve' the moeny. or they just take from your account. dont do this. dont be stupid like me. or youll pay big. anything free dosent come with a price.

I got the game call this evening 12/10/2012 !! saying a was selected for a tax free $7,000.00 grant without a pay back . I am also to smart to give out personal info , he claimed to call this number (the supervisor) to get the money by wester union . Have yet to make the call way to hesitant.

Received a call from  970 002.  Said I was randomly selected for a $7,000 grant.  Told them to send me a check.  Tried calling the number she gave me back, of course, couldn't connect.  Also wanted either a credit card or bank account.  Hopefully most people are too smart for this scam.

These Indians are smart thieves. They call from this number first 970002 and then refer you to 202-657-6543. I was told that I have won a federal government loan and I have to pay $280.00. In order to receive the $7,000.00 US Dollars.

They call me say I was approve for a grant. And it was for 7,000 dollars

My husband took the call.  A woman told him she was with the treasury dept.(this was after 6:00 pm) and his drivers license number was selected to receive $7,000.00 grant.  She tried to get him to give her a savings account number as well as a credit card number.  Luckily my husband is too smart to give out that information.
