Yes it is a scam, they want you to send money to india and then call a bank which don't answer then you call her back and the line is always busy.

I also just received a call with the same offer.  i googled the call back # just in case it was one of those # that charge you this crazy amount for calling and got this blog.  I wont worry about calling the manager cause i wont give them any $.

Me too I Received a call from this number, spoke English saying I have been selected to get 7,000$.  he said that the us government has picked me. Its a scam an they should be reported. And i would call your back and lot them knom about it.

i just got the same call with a different number telling me to call 202-657-6662, the number they called me from was 5254-9693 wired huh

well, how happy i was to hear that I was selected for a $7,000 grant, what a life saver it would have been. Today, I recieved another call from the same company. Apparently, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Then I Googled the phone number given, and low and behold, some folks said they were told for $200. they would be processed for the grant. Yeah, a grant into some weird-o's pocket!!! So much for good luck!

These people are nuts.  I use a nickname on all paperwork that isn't a legal document but I use my real name for all govt. paperwork and have never listed an alias.  A guy with a thick accent called and said he was from the government but he asked for me by my nickname.  Don't you think the GOVERNMENT would know my legal name?  Total scam.  The number they used to call was 525-4963.  No area code.  I gave them one piece of untrue info when they "verified" that it was me and they didn't pick up on it. I didn't even bother to call the number they gave me.

Received a call from this number, her name is Jacklyn barely spoke English saying I have been selected to get 7,000$. LOL she said that the us government has picked me. What a bunch of B.S its a scam an they should be reported.  Nikki

I just received the same call from 202-657-6662 from a women with a thick Indian accent offering me $7000.00 for no bankruptcy and no arrest in the last 12 months. I called us Treasury to verify the number and couldn't  reach a live person so, I called 411, reversed directory, sheriffs non emergency line (they said its a scam) then typed the phone # into Google and got this page. looks like a scam to me. Good luck everyone.

Got a call from 282-726-2524 today. Caller said I was issued a $7000.00 check from the Dept. of Subsidy  due to me not filing bankruptcy or having a criminal record and they needed to verify some information in order to send it! I was told to dial her manager at 202-657-6662 with my confirmation number in order for it to be released! What will they think of next? LMAO...

I just got the same call  the accent was so bad could not understand them they wanted a 200 dollar processing fee but the # on the caller I D showed unknown  this is a big time scam

i just received this call. Thick Indian accent. They ofered the $7,000 and had me call  number where i was to give  them an ID number. after that whole promising of the $ i was told that i had to give $200 as a precessing fee. That i would have to go to the bank or send them a western union check. I couldnt pay with my card or by check.. MADE NO SENSE

Hey got the phone call today, the rep said I was chosen by the government to receive 7,000 in grant money because I have no criminal record and no bankruptcy in the last 4 years.  The rep told me to call the same number back and give them a ID# for the grant money.  The next rep said I have to put down a one time processing fee of $200.00 in order to get the money.  I told the rep I did not have that to give. I asked where are you from and located, the rep said Washington.  When I told him did not have the $200 he hung up.

I experience d the same thing and I request what kinds of files will u be getting from me and hey hung u. Definitely scam

yeah, i just got the same one... funny thing they didnt ask me for my info since they already had it. they said the check will be mailed to me tomorrow... thick accent of some kind... scam for sure but when i asked for their web site they gave me www.hhs.gov
