I received a call this morning telling me that I would receive a $9200.00 Grant. I was not really on my guard so I called the number because my mind went to thinking about every thing I could do with that money. Yes, I was dumb enough to give them my bank account number but I never when and paid the $310 deposit. I went and closed my bank account and reported this to the police in our town in case they are doing this to other people around here.

That is almost the exact call I had except it was because I had filed for bankrupt and Mine was a $310 deposit. SO glad that I reported this to my bank and the police.

I got that same call this morning and keep asking if this saw a scam. I never got a response. I kept going until I got to the part about the $310 deposit and getting to the right place to do and call her back. Wanting to know the time and everything. The lady I talked to Name was Cindy Spencer and said it was come from the Federal Reserve. I have reported it to my bank and to the police. Just in case some thing funny happens they had a lot of information about me already.

Yes got a call from 00 had several before I answered and also have been receiving emails from them about a good tax payer grant, which makes no sense at all, and said I could choose three options to have the money sent to me. Don't buy it for a minute the government wants our money not to give it back.

I received calls a couple of times saying I've been awarded a grant the first time for 10k, the second time for $9,200.00 and I'm required to make a security deposit of $310.00 at a Walgreens of all places and the $310.00 would be reimbursed and $9,500.00 would be released to my account from the Federal Reserve Bank in 30 to 40 minutes after I make the Walgreens card purchase. It simply don't add-up to sound like the truth.

This is a scam - do not give any money to these people as they are scamming people. Whenever you truly get a government grant you do not have to pay any kind of security fee or any kind of fee for that matter.

Received telephone call from 000-000-0000 several times before I answered it. The caller ID showed the exact number of zeros which I just typed. A man told me that I was given an amount of $9200.00 of grant money from the US Government due to being a "good tax payer". He gave me a number to call with a confirmation number to give to the people who answered. The telephone number I was given to call was (202) 657-6842.
I called, gave them the conformation number and the women who answered stated she had to look up my file from the number which I gave her. The woman came back on the phone and stated that all I had to do was go to Walgreens and purchase a card in the amount of $320.00. This card (from what I could understand -- language barrier--) would have a "green dot" on it. When I bought the card, I was to call her back. Needless to say, she must still be waiting for my call.

I received a call giving me $9200 from the federal government, if i put down a deposit of $300,.in order to receive this "GRANT" money I must go to Walgreens or CVS and call them back for instructions (probably to purchase a prepaid credit card ) and give them the information, I played along and ask them to just take the DEPOSIT from my GRANT money, she responded back saying she was not authorised to do that....... oh well I guess she won't be using my prepaid card.
